The Network Engineer will actively contribute to maintain, secure, and monitor the existing network architecture as well as to the design of the future network and its implementation. /p pSome of the responsibilities will include: /p ul liImplementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and, in some cases designing communication networks within an organization or between organization /li liEnsuring the integrity and high availability of our network infrastructure /li liEstablishing networking environment by defining, implementing, documenting, and enforcing system standards /li liSecuring network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access /li liSupporting and administering firewall environments in line with IT security policy /li liTroubleshooting and fault finding if issues arise /li liFulfilling ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Company /li liContributing to the definition and implementation of project best practices and quality processes /li liLiaising with external provider when network management is outsourced /li /ul pRequired skills and experience: /p ul liFundamental understanding of and hands-on experience with network technologies including but not limited to firewalls, content filters, routing/switching, VLANs, and 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless /li liProven hands-on experience and expertise with Palo Alto firewalls or assimilated products /li /ul pand/or proven hands-on experience and expertise with F5 Load Balancers or assimilated products /p ul liThorough knowledge and hands-on experience with fundamental networking protocols including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, VPN, BGP, SD-WAN, etc /li liExperience supporting or testing LANs, VLANs, WLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, /or DHCP servers /li liExperience supporting and administering Load balancers, Proxy, reverse Proxy, Firewalls, Routers, Switches /li liProven experience in incident management, service request management and troubleshooting using root cause analysis (RCA) techniques /li liAbility to multitask and work under pressure /li liOutstanding English languages written and verbal communication skills. /li liAvailability to work on shifts and on-site, from Monday to Friday /li /ul pDesirable skills and experience: /p ul liExperience working in a NOC environment /li liExperience of using ticketing systems and use of monitoring and management tools /li liExperience installing and troubleshooting WiFi networks /li liWorking knowledge of public DNS zones and Global Servers Load Balancing (Traffic Manager) /li liCloud hands-on experience (Azure) /li liCertification in Networking (e.g. BSc Networking, CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, Juniper JNCIA) /li /ul h3Diversity and Inclusion /h3 pThis job posting is open to all individuals, regardless of gender, age, ethnic origin, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other personal characteristic, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations on equal opportunities and inclusion (Italian Legislative Decree No. 198/2006, as subsequently amended, and Italian Legislative Decrees No. 215/2003 and No. 216/2003). /p pIn compliance with applicable pay transparency legislation, we provide the following information regarding the initial remuneration envisaged for this position. /p pThe position will be classified within the Employee category, at one of the C2, C3, B1 or B2 levels under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria). /p pThe classification level and any additional remuneration components supplementing the base salary will be determined based on an assessment, carried out during the selection process, of objective and neutral criteria such as, by way of example, the candidate’s professional experience, technical skills, level of autonomy and the responsibilities required by the role. /p h3WHAT WE OFFER /h3 pWe offer a range of benefits including new Learning opportunities, a comprehensive Welfare System, Life and Health Insurance, Modern Workstation and Discounts within the MSC group. /p pMoreover, MSC Technology Italy fosters a culture of innovation and wellbeing by simultaneously pursuing various initiatives.
