With $6.9 billion in sales, a strong customer base and global reach spanning nearly 70 countries, we are uniquely positioned to deliver greater value to our customers and create new opportunities for our people. /p /brpWe are currently seeking abSenior Power Electronics Engineer /b to join our dynamic team in bCastel Guelfo (BO), Italy! /b /p /brh3What kind of work will you be doing? /h3 /brul /brliWork with the team to drive the analysis, design and testing of future conversion topologies and components, including power conversion stage, gate drivers, magnetics, etc. /li /brliLead and perform lab tests to increase technology readiness and verify performance. /li /brliCoordinate with engineering divisions and offering to define product specifications. /li /brliSupport the testing team in creating plans and assessing results. /li /brliPrepare technical documents, including simulation results, schematics and component specifications. /li /brliApply lessons learned from previous projects to new ones. /li /brliReport progress, risks, and solutions to stakeholders and management promptly. /li /br /ul /brh3What will make you successful? /h3 /brul /brliDegree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field. /li /brli7+ years in UPS, or power conversion platforms (AC/DC, DC/DC, etc.), with proven track record of projects in medium-high power converters. Isolated DC/DC experience with successful deployment is a plus. /li /brliDeep knowledge of IGBT, Mosfet, SiC power switches – in power modules and discrete packages; SMD TSC top side cooled project/design experience is a plus. /li /brliDeep Knowledge of gate driver circuits, analog and protection circuits for power electronics, and PWM modulation techniques for multilevel converters. /li /brliHigh current power PCB layout design knowledge; thermal and multi-physic simulation is a plus. /li /brliMagnetic components design; Planar magnetics design skill is a plus. /li /brliProven experience in prototype development, tuning and testing. /li /brliExperience in product industrialization and DFM/DFA/DFT. /li /brliAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. /li /brliProficient with engineering design tools and methodologies (Plecs, Spice). /li /brliStrong in planning, analysis and communication. /li /brliCollaborative team player with solid problem-solving skills. /li /brliCustomer-oriented; open to travel. /li /brliGood in written and spoken English. /li /brliExperienced in technical documentation and test procedures. /li /brliComplete knowledge of laboratory measuring instruments operation (oscilloscope, wattmeter, etc.)br/Travel required on an occasional basis (10%) including international travel for NPDI product reviews and corporate meetings. /li /br /ul /brpThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities. /p /brpbOUR CORE PRINCIPALS /b: Safety.
