Supervisory Recreation Specialist (Sports Coordinator)

ppThis position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Forces Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); US NAS Sigonella, Italy. /ppIncumbent serves as a Sport Program Manager. One (1) year of specialized experience in fitness/sports equivalent to NF-3/GS-7 level OR a Master's/equivalent graduate degree/2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with major study in Fitness or Sports Administration (or related field). /ppbSpecialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA) to perform successfully the duties of the position. /b /ppbResumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and abilities as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. /b /ppbKSA's: /b /pulliKnowledge that enables the employee to competently and independently carry out sports programs through the proper application of principles, concepts and techniques of recreation to specific needs of the community to be served. /liliKnowledge of Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DON) and CNIC policies and procedures governing the recreational activity certifications. /liliKnowledge of both non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and appropriated fund (APF) funding, government procurement procedures, cash handling procedures, fiscal, personnel, material and cash management. /liliKnowledge of various specialty equipment, both resale and fixed assets to ensure quality material exists to enhance programs. /liliKnowledge of the physical and psychological factors that impact training, performance and recovery of individuals and team sports. /liliKnowledge of the governing body rules for offered athletic events. /liliSkill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and other operating systems used in the program area. /liliAbility to analyze and prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports related to work within the Branch. /liliAbility to perform the full range of supervisory duties. /liliAbility to develop and effectively deliver presentations and/or training. /liliAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
