Senior Pipeline Engineer

ppRINA is currently recruiting for a bSenior Pipeline Engineer /b to join its office in bFano, Genoa or Rome, Italy /b within the bPlant Engineering /b Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pThe Senior Pipeline Engineer leads technical engineering activities for pipeline design, including design appraisal and certification of new and existing pipelines. This role ensures compliance with project requirements, manages project interfaces, and supervises information flow while maintaining and developing technical skills, expertise, knowledge, procedures, and tools for proposals and project execution. The Senior Engineer also focuses on capitalizing on project experience to improve and harmonize work methodologies. /p pKnolewdge and experiences in material and cathodic protection design, pre commissioning activities, installation and construction, piping design, etc. will be considered a plus. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 pPipeline Design, Engineering Studies and Analyses: /p ul liCoordinate all activities related to pipeline design, including existing and new projects. /li liManage all internal and external project interfaces to ensure timely provision of necessary input and information to meet project execution schedules. /li liLead the engineering team in developing strategies for system configuration tasks and component design, ensuring progress and satisfactory task completion within project constraints. /li /ul h3Construction Support /h3 ul liOversee and execute all technical activities within the discipline. /li liProvide technical support and direction to solve engineering issues. /li liIdentify project and contract hot spots, criticalities, and activity priorities. /li liOptimize technical engineering processes to achieve reduced time and costs. /li /ul h3Resource Management /h3 ul liCoordinate resources assigned to the discipline. /li liSupervise and coordinate all engineering, design, and drafting activities. /li liEnsure the proper management of interfaces with other disciplines and construction/installation activities, driving the team toward optimized cost-effective solutions. /li /ul h3Project Oversight /h3 ul liControl project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines. /li liSupervise and coordinate the review and independent analysis of pipelines during third-party engineering activities. /li liOversee requisitioning and technical bid evaluations. /li /ul h3Development and Reporting /h3 ul liDevelop personnel skills and flexibility through work assignments, responsibilities, seminars, and courses. /li liEnsure the capitalization of project experience to improve work methodologies. /li liReport to the Pipeline Principal Engineer. /li /ul h3Innovation and Optimization /h3 ul liExplore new technologies and methodologies to optimize pipeline design and construction processes /li /ul h3Regulatory Compliance /h3 ul liEnsure that pipeline design comply with local,state and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and codes. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liExtensive experience (8+ years) in pipeline engineering, with a strong background in design and analysis. /li liProven track record of managing engineering teams and projects. /li liProficiency in software tools for structural design and installation analysis. /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities. /li liExpertise in project scheduling, resource management, and cost optimization. /li liExcellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, project teams, and subcontractors. /li liLeadership abilities to guide and motivate engineering teams. /li liStrong organizational skills and attention to detail. /li liProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is preferred. /li liCommitment to ongoing professional development and learning. /li /ul h3Competencies /h3 ul liWORKPLACE DYNAMICS - Resourcefulness in shaping progress and working efficiently. /li liFORESIGHT INSIGHT - Context awareness adopting a systemic perspective and informed decision making. /li liPERSONAL EMPOWERMENT - Ownership for life, work and results, striving to grow professionally and personally. /li liINTERPERSONAL INFLUENCE - Skills and strategies we use to interact effectively with others. /li liDOMAIN BUSINESS ACUMEN - Applying a scientific approach and critical thinking in operations and solution development within area of expertise. /li /ul pAt RINA, we endeavor to create a work environment where every single person is valued and encouraged to develop new ideas.
