This is a part-time, fixed-term position based in Roma, ideal for professionals who want to combine research activity with other commitments. /p pYou will process and analyse satellite data from multiple platforms (Copernicus, commercial VHR), develop geospatial workflows and contribute to the delivery of actionable spatial intelligence products for research and institutional clients. /p pWe are seeking someone with solid remote sensing skills and a passion for translating satellite data into meaningful insights. /p pResponsibilities /p ul liProcess and analyse optical and SAR satellite imagery (Sentinel-1/2, Landsat, Planet, Pleiades) /li liDevelop automated workflows for land cover classification, change detection and time-series analysis /li liCreate geospatial products: thematic maps, monitoring dashboards and spatial statistics /li liIntegrate satellite data with in-situ measurements, GIS layers and ancillary datasets /li liPerform accuracy assessment and validation of derived products /li liContribute to technical reports, deliverables and scientific publications /li liSupport proposal preparation with technical input on EO methodologies /li liMaintain data catalogues, processing logs and quality documentation /li /ul pMust-have Requirements /p ul liDegree in Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Physics or related field /li liMinimum 2 years of experience with satellite data processing and geospatial analysis /li liProficiency in remote sensing software: SNAP, ENVI, ERDAS or Google Earth Engine /li liStrong GIS skills: QGIS or ArcGIS Pro /li liPython programming for geospatial workflows (rasterio, geopandas, xarray, sentinelsat) /li liKnowledge of Copernicus data ecosystem and access platforms (Copernicus Data Space, CREODIAS) /li liStructured and organised approach to data management /li /ul pNice-to-have Requirements /p ul liExperience with SAR interferometry (InSAR) or SAR polarimetry /li liKnowledge of machine learning for image classification (Random Forest, CNN, U-Net) /li liFamiliarity with cloud computing for EO (Google Earth Engine, AWS, DIAS platforms) /li liExperience with LiDAR data processing or photogrammetry /li liBackground in climate science, agriculture, urban monitoring or natural hazards /li liPublished research or conference presentations in remote sensing /li liExperience with ESA or Copernicus-funded projects /li /ul pPersonal Requirements /p ul liAnalytical mindset with strong attention to data quality and scientific rigour /li liSelf-organised and able to manage workload effectively in a part-time arrangement /li liGood communicator who can present technical results clearly /li liGenuine interest in satellite technology and Earth observation /li liReliable and consistent in meeting deadlines /li liCollaborative spirit within a small research team /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
