Data Engineer

ppWe are looking for a Data Engineer who enjoys building reliable data pipelines. You will help design and operate scalable ELT processes that power analytics, reporting, and core product features. You are comfortable working with Python, SQL and AWS, understand modern data architecture patterns, and care about data quality, performance, and maintainability. /p h3Your responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign, build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines. /li liImplement and operate data workflows using AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Batch, etc.). /li liContribute to the evolution of our Data Platform architecture (Medallion architecture). /li liEnsure data quality, consistency, and reliability across pipelines. /li liOptimize data transformations for performance and cost efficiency. /li liCollaborate with Backend and Frontend Engineers and Product to define data requirements. /li liMonitor pipelines, troubleshoot issues and improve observability. /li liDocument data models, transformations and architecture decisions. /li /ul h3Your skills /h3 ul liStrong Python skills for data processing. /li liExperience building ETL/ELT pipelines in production environments. /li liSolid experience with AWS (especially Lambda, Step Functions, S3). /li liUnderstanding of Medallion Architecture. /li liStrong SQL skills and experience with dimensional data modeling. /li liExperience working with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, CSV, Parquet, APIs). /li liUnderstanding of data validation and data quality practices. /li liExperience with Git and CI/CD. /li /ul h3Nice to have /h3 ul liExperience with columnar databases (e.g. ClickHouse, Redshift, BigQuery). /li liFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform). /li liExperience with Docker. /li /ul h3You can expect /h3 ul liBeing part of a highly motivated international team. /li liHigh ownership and responsibility for your domain. /li liA modern data stack and room to shape architecture decisions. /li liA workplace in the heart of Vienna or remote options with quarterly office weeks in Vienna /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
