Overview Experteer Overview As a Senior Airport Planner at Arup, you will lead airport spatial planning and simulations, delivering robust master plans and capacity analyses for Italian and international airports. You will work within the Infrastructure team in Milan and the broader Aviation Planning group, shaping projects from regional studies to large hubs. Expect to drive strategic planning, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and engage clients to deliver high-quality aviation solutions. This role offers exposure to global aviation projects, with a clear path to leadership and business development. Responsibilities Lead development of airport spatial plans, designs, and simulation models Undertake demand/capacity analysis and derive airport facility requirements Manage and deliver aviation projects with coordination across disciplines Lead business development in Airport Planning and Simulation in Italy Represent Arup in client meetings and prepare master plans and planning studies Develop planning alternatives for airside, terminals, cargo, and landside elements Plan aprons and airfields, including capacity and stakeholder engagement Refine in-house analytical tools and contribute to new planning approaches Coordinate with Architecture, terminal planning, and engineering disciplines Qualifications 6–10 years of relevant airport planning experience Strong understanding of ICAO, EASA, and IATA standards Proven ability to lead large-scale aviation planning projects Experience with CAD/graphics tools (Auto CAD, Micro Station, Revit) and 3 D modelling Strong Excel and data analysis skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Fluent English and Italian; additional languages a plus Experience in airport operations, airspace, and navigation aids Ability to work independently and manage tasks, people, and budgets Benefits Profit-sharing program Professional growth & development Global opportunities Flexible working Inclusive culture Competitive salary and benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr
