The role connects systems engineering, controls, electronics, hydraulics, software, sensors, simulation and vehicle integration to create robust technology concepts that address future platform and customer needs.br/The successful candidate will collaborate with product platforms, electrical and software engineering, simulation, test lab, precision technology, autonomy, suppliers and field validation teams to mature technologies from early concept through prototype validation and readiness for product development. Collaborations with Universities and Research Centers are expected to support the early stages of development. /p h3bKey Responsibilities /b /h3 pbInnovation Technology Development /b /p ul liLead and execute innovation projects focused on advanced mechatronic systems for agricultural equipment. /li liIdentify, assess and mature emerging technologies in automation, robotics, sensors, electrification, connectivity, artificial intelligence and machine intelligence. /li liTranslate customer needs and future farming workflows into system concepts, architectures and demonstrators. /li liContribute to technology roadmaps, feasibility studies and technology readiness level advancement. /li /ul pbMechatronic Systems Engineering /b /p ul liDefine system requirements, functional specifications, interface documents and validation plans. /li liDevelop integrated system architectures combining sensors, actuators, embedded electronics, software, hydraulics, electro-hydraulics and electrification technologies. /li liPerform design reviews, technical trade-off analysis, cost/functionality assessments and risk evaluations. /li liSupport FMEA, safety analysis and functional safety activities where applicable. /li /ul pbControls, Software Simulation /b /p ul liDevelop control concepts and algorithms for advanced machine functions and automated operations. /li liSupport model-based design, simulation and virtual validation of new mechatronic systems. /li liCollaborate with software and controls teams to prototype embedded functions and evaluate performance. /li liAnalyze test data and use simulation results to refine system behavior and control strategies. /li /ul pbPrototype Validation Field Testing /b /p ul liSupport prototype definition, build, instrumentation and commissioning. /li liPlan and execute laboratory, vehicle and field validation activities. /li liTroubleshoot issues, identify root causes and define corrective actions. /li liCapture operator and customer feedback and convert field insights into technical improvements. /li /ul pbCollaboration Technology Transfer /b /p ul liWork effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams across engineering, product platforms, suppliers and research partners. /li liPrepare clear technical documentation, specifications, test reports and management updates. /li liSupport transfer of validated technologies into product development programs. /li liMentor interns or junior engineers involved in innovation investigations when required. /li /ul h3bExperience Required /b /h3 pbEducation /b /p ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Robotics, Control Systems Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. /li /ul pbExperience /b /p ul liEngineering experience on agricultural equipment 3 to 5 years /li liEngineering experience, academic project work, internship, thesis or laboratory experience related to hydraulics, simulation, controls, vehicle systems or machinery applications. /li liExperience in mechatronic system development, agricultural equipment, off-highway machinery, automotive systems, robotics, automation or electrification. /li /ul h3bPreferred Qualifications /b /h3 pbPreferred Software Tools /b /p ul liMATLAB / Simulink, Amesim or equivalent simulation environments. /li liPython, C/C++ or other scripting/programming languages for prototyping and data analysis. /li liCANalyzer / CANoe, Vector tools or similar vehicle network analysis tools. /li liRequirements and lifecycle tools such as Polarion, Jira, Enterprise Architect or equivalent. /li liCAD or system architecture tools such as Creo, CATIA or equivalent, depending on project needs. /li /ul pbLeadership Behavioral Competencies /b /p ul liStrong systems-thinking mindset and ability to manage complexity across engineering domains. /li liInnovation-oriented attitude with curiosity for emerging technologies and practical experimentation. /li liCustomer-focused approach, able to convert field pain points into valuable technology concepts. /li liStructured problem solving, analytical rigor and ability to make data-driven decisions. /li liEffective communication with technical specialists, managers, suppliers and global stakeholders with strong written and verbal communication skills in a technical, cross-functional environment. /li liClear communication and ability to summarize technical findings for different audiences. /li liSelf-motivation, ownership and ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. /li liDemonstrated ability to move technology concepts from ideation to prototype validation. /li liProactive attitude, ownership of assigned tasks and attention to engineering quality. /li /ul h3bPay Transparency /b /h3 pThe annual salary for this role is EUR €39,000.00 - €59,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.) /p pFor roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location.
