Underdogz is a dynamic creative studio currently scaling its production team for “ROSSOMAN,” a high-profile animated project that demands the very best in performance-driven character work. We are on the hunt for a Senior Animator who lives for the nuance of a performance—someone who can take a storyboard and transform it into a living, breathing character with depth, weight, and emotional resonance.

This production is a sprint toward excellence, scheduled for the spring of 2026. While the role offers flexibility, we are building a creative hub in the beautiful coastal city of Senigallia, Italy , and are prioritizing talent ready to join our “war room” on the ground.

€4,500 — €6,500 EUR (Net, based on experience/seniority)

€13,500 — €19,500 EUR (Approx. for 3-month cycle)

The Role: Mastering the Performance

As a Senior Animator on “ROSSOMAN,” you are not just moving rigs; you are an actor behind a screen. You will be responsible for the most pivotal scenes in the production—those requiring advanced acting, dynamic staging, and subtle, nuanced performances that define the show’s quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Character Acting: Deliver high-level character performances that align with the director’s vision, focusing on emotional subtext and physical weight.

• Dynamic Staging: Arrange characters and cameras within the scene to maximize narrative impact and visual clarity.

• Pipeline Excellence: Ensure all animations are technically sound, optimized for the lighting/rendering departments, and delivered within the project’s tight 3-month window.

• Quality Control: Maintain the “ROSSOMAN” style guide across all shots, ensuring consistency in movement and personality.

• Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance to mid-level animators when necessary, fostering a collaborative environment that maintains high production standards under pressure.

Requirements: The Professional Standard

We are seeking a “battle-tested” animator . Because this production cycle is concentrated (approximately 12 weeks), we need a professional who can hit the ground running on day one without a steep learning curve.

• Professional Tenure: Minimum 5 years of experience specifically within animated TV series or high-quality animated short films.

• Artistic Mastery: A strong background in complex animation styles. We are looking for “advanced acting”—meaning you understand the principles of squash and stretch, but more importantly, you understand the psychology of a character’s gaze and the timing of a breath.

• Technical Reliability: Proven ability to maintain a high “quality-to-speed” ratio. You can deliver polished work even when the deadline is fast approaching.

• The “Underdogz” Mindset: A team-oriented personality. We value reliability and a leadership-level work ethic. We want creators who are passionate about the craft and dedicated to pushing the performance to the next level.

• Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Italian is a plus but not mandatory for the creative workflow.
