They are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety and Environmental function on a major hyperscale data centre project in Milan. Working closely with the Project Director and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and driving the project's HSE strategy, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance are achieved throughout the construction and commissioning phases.Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the project's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.
• Promote and embed a proactive, positive safety culture across the project.
• Manage the site HSE team, providing leadership, mentoring and technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, client standards and all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Lead site inspections, audits and safety tours, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Review RAMS, permit-to-work systems and high-risk activities.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring robust root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Advise project leadership on HSE performance, risks and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and drive compliance across all work packages.
• Produce HSE reports, KPI data and project performance metrics for senior management and the client.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities on all HSE matters. Requirements
• Proven experience as an HSE Manager, Health & Safety Manager or Senior HSE professional within construction.
• Experience delivering major data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial or large-scale construction projects.
• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred; NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate considered with relevant experience.
• Chartered or Graduate membership of IOSH (CMIOSH or GradIOSH desirable).
• Excellent knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and best practice.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing HSE teams and working within complex, fast-paced construction environments.
• Full driving licence where required. Package
