Finance Accounting Manager

ppWe are working with a leading international law firm to recruit an Accounting Finance Manager for their expanding Milan office. This is a senior, hands-on finance leadership position with responsibility for the overall financial management and performance of the Milan office. The successful candidate will lead the local Accounting Finance team and take ownership across accounting, billing, taxation, financial reporting, partner affairs and finance/treasury. Working closely with the Office Head and international finance colleagues, you will provide meaningful financial analysis, interpret KPIs and trends, and support the office with forecasting, financial modelling and performance improvement initiatives. /p /br /brh3Key Responsibilities /h3 /brul /brliManage the integrity of the financial records for the Italian partnership. /li /brliLead the month-end close process. /li /brliOversee the firm's billing function and support new-client intake compliance where required. /li /brliTake responsibility for Italian tax obligations. /li /brliPrepare detailed monthly financial reporting, including analysis of results, KPIs and areas requiring attention. /li /brliPrepare and present partner performance analysis, working with partners and the Office Head to identify performance improvement opportunities. /li /brliPrepare forecasts and financial models for Italy. /li /brliWork collaboratively with US and European finance teams on new processes, training and continuous improvement. /li /brliManage, develop and support the Milan Accounting Finance team. /li /brliWork closely with the Milan Office Administrator to ensure the smooth running of accounting and administration. /li /br /ul /br /brpWe are looking for an experienced finance professional with a strong accounting background and the ability to operate confidently in a complex, international professional-services environment. /p /br /brh3You will ideally have /h3 /brul /brliA CPA or equivalent international accounting qualification. /li /brliAt least 7 years' relevant experience. /li /brliStrong knowledge of billing processes and procedures. /li /brliExcellent analytical, organisational and communication skills. /li /brliThe ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take initiative. /li /brliExperience working to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities. /li /brliA strong service-focused approach and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. /li /br /ul /br /brh3Benefits /h3 /brul /brliA competitive salary and benefits package is on offer, and smart working arrangements are in place. /li /br /ul /br /brpThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting and finance professional to take a high-impact leadership role within an international law firm, combining local financial responsibility with exposure to international finance operations.
