Emeren Group Ltd is a leading global solar project developer, owner, and operator with a pipeline of projects and IPP assets totaling over 3 GW, as well as a storage pipeline of over 10 GWh across Europe, North America, and Asia. The Company focuses on solar power project development, construction, management and project financing services with local professional teams in more than 10 countries around the world.Emeren's Italy team is looking for a Legal counsel to join our team in Milan, Italy, in order to support Emeren’s rapidly growing solar and storage business and contribute to the transition to a low carbon, sustainable economy.As our Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal and compliance support on a wide range of topics, with a strong focus on real estate, corporate law, contract management, administrative law in relation to renewable energy.You’ll act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams, ensure legal compliance on complex projects, and serve as a key interface with external stakeholders including regulators and public authorities.Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure accurate, timely and professional advice to project team members in all projects related legal topics (such as revision of documents, contracts, due diligence).Review and approve contracts in relation to M&A opportunities, land acquisitions, consultancy, brokerage, real estate, corporate and conventions with authorities.Close collaboration with other departments to lead projects from a legal point of view.Act as main contact point and full accountability of further developing internal governance guidelines in order to ensure compliance with the Company as well as externals.Ensure timely information about any potential legal risks and changes.Research and evaluate various, sometimes complex risk factors regarding business decisions and operations and ensure timely communication and escalation to and the relevant Company’s stakeholders.Apply effective risk management and offer proactive advice on possible legal issuesCommunicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority, etc.), managing business relationships in the Company’s best interest.Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the Company’s full legal rights.Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces.Act in line with Company regulations and upon request as legal representative of Company’s official registered locations.
Qualifications
Legal degree;
post‑degree specialization in law/business school is a plus.3–5 years of experience in a legal role—ideally in the renewables sector.Deep understanding of the renewable energy (solar) industry, regulations, and market landscape.Fluent in Italian and English;
other languages are a plus.Strong ethics, adaptability, teamwork, and communication skills.Proficiency with MS Office tools.
