In this role you will be the primary authority for electrical equipment on Tesla’s Tilburg production lines, troubleshooting, designing, and optimizing hardware and control architectures. You will lead test and control system design, and manage power distribution to maximize reliability and performance. You’ll drive continuous improvement through advanced automation and hands‑on commissioning in a fast‑paced environment. This opportunity lets you shape electrical systems that underpin high‑volume manufacturing of EVs, with a clear impact on safety, efficiency, and quality.Retribuzione / Benefits
- Design and engineer industrial electrical control panels with CE, Low Voltage Directive, and EMC compliance
- Create and own end‑to‑end electrical schematics (EPLAN Electric P8) and oversee cabinet builds and wiring
- Develop PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and automation integration to reduce cycle times and improve data acquisition
- Engineer electrical retrofits for conveyors, actuators, and automated testers to boost reliability and energy efficiency
- Define electrical and safety hardware standards for third‑party vendors for seamless integration
- Architect and validate redundant Safety Systems (SIL/PL) to mitigate hazards in high‑voltage battery and high‑speed motion contexts
- Perform root‑cause analysis using diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal imaging) and data software (Minitab/JMP) to resolve intermittent failures
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or Automation Engineering
- 3+ years in industrial electrical design within high-volume manufacturing or custom machinery
- Proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8
- Knowledge of NEN 1010 / NEN 3140 and European Machinery Directives
- Hands‑on experience with Siemens (TIA Portal) or Rockwell PLC environments
- Knowledge of CAN, EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP protocols
- Strong understanding of LV/HV components (DAQ, VFDs, servo drives, sensors, safety controllers)
- Hands‑on shop‑floor mindset and problem‑solving approach (first‑principles)
