Communication and Marketing Coordinator

We are looking for a driven and thoughtful Communication & Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Barolo.

This role includes brand, trade and hospitality, supporting the communication strategy of G.D. Vajra - a family winery deeply rooted in the Langhe and recognized internationally for its commitment to quality and authenticity.

Your mission will be to help translate our work, values and wines into meaningful communication — engaging both industry gatekeepers and wine lovers worldwide.

This is a hands-on role offering a unique opportunity to grow within a dynamic, quality-driven environment.

• Execute the communication strategy in coordination with the Commercial Director across three main channels: external, internal, and social media
• Support the creation, update, and distribution of marketing and sales materials (fact sheets, presentations, tasting notes, digital assets and all other collaterals)
• Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and commercial tools
• Coordinate samples, trade materials, and product submissions

• Host trade visitors and lead professional tastings at the winery
• Coordinate and execute trade fairs and events in Italy and internationally
• Support the sales team across key markets (expected travel: ~60 days/year)
• Manage OCM-related hospitality and events, including documentation, budget tracking, and coordination with finance and sales

• Degree in Literature, Philosophy, Art, Wine Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Hospitality, or related fields preferred.

• Previous exposure to the wine industry is strongly preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in marketing, hospitality, events, wine, or luxury goods
• Experience with marketing materials, events, trade support, or project coordination

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
• Familiarity with CRM tools (e.G., Salesforce)
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus

• Deeply passionate about wine and eager to learn continuously
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
• Professional, polished, and service-minded
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Comfortable balancing structured work with urgent, evolving priorities
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Italian and English (more foreign languages a plus)
• Excellent communication and writing skills
