The Senior Manager, Supplier Development – EMEA is responsible for identifying, developing, and advancing strategic supplier relationships that support business growth across the region. This role partners closely with Marketing, Technical, Sales, and Executive leadership to build a strong supplier pipeline, expand product line opportunities, and position Univar Solutions as a preferred strategic partner. What you´ll do:- Build and maintain regional supplier authorization map including current portfolio gaps, desired supplier partners and actions
- Build and maintain an opportunity pipeline, effectively managing each stage to create a regular stream of new business opportunities for Univar Solutions.
- Leads supplier interactions to advance strategic alliances, secure new business, and expand partnerships into new product lines, geographies, and customer segments.
- Create strategies and plans to move opportunities forward while maintaining current, complete supplier relationship notes, including teleconferences and visits.
- Work closely with Marketing, Technical, Sales, and the Executive team to move suppliers through the pipeline.
- Creates and owns the overall engagement plan and deal framing.
- Orchestrates supplier interactions with cross-functional Univar Solutions teams.
- Leads strategy sessions before supplier visits to align the current situation, critical issues, and desired outcomes.
- Follows up with internal teams and suppliers to ensure outstanding action items are addressed.
- Partners with the relevant Marketing Business Director to confirm the proposed deal is acceptable as it reaches fruition.
- Manage a select number of currently untapped supplier partners to increase Univar Solutions’ visibility and presence within the target organization. The desired outcome is to establish Univar Solutions as a preferred strategic distribution partner and increase consideration for distributing products across multiple supplier divisions.

- Maintains strong, trusted relationships throughout the organization to gain influence and execute the plan.
- Use time and company resources effectively by managing multiple priorities efficiently and exercising sound judgment in the use of company capital.
- Apply industry insight to identify key drivers and initiate actions with suppliers to uncover needs and product line opportunities, drive commitment, and negotiate NDAs, contracts, and product riders within the scope of responsibility.
- Stay current on industry and global trends, demonstrates versatility in building and maintaining business relationships, and communicates ideas clearly and succinctly across all channels.
- Four-year college degree
- Beauty & Personal Care or Household sales experience
- Chemical and Ingredient distribution knowledge
- Experience in Sales Force or other tracking software
- Fluent in English
- Up to 50% travel
- Leadership skills
- Home Office Opportunity for candidates based anywhere in Europe, preferably France but not limited to it.
