LEGAL COUNSEL - MILAN

JOB DESCRIPTION

To support its growth and strengthen its in-house legal team, Aether Financial Services is seeking a Legal Officer (2–5 years’ experience) on a permanent contract.

You will also work closely with the operational teams and will be involved in addressing any legal issues arising during the set-up and throughout the execution of financial transactions.

In this role, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

• Oversee the day-to-day legal management of Aether Financial Services’ operations, liaising with internal stakeholders (operational teams, management) and external parties (banks, law firms, investors, clients),
• Review, analyse, draft and negotiate contracts and documents relating to the various transactions in which Aether Financial Services acts as an agent (financing and security documents),
• Manage and monitor the processes relating to general meetings of holders of financial instruments,
• Contribute to discussions on legal and regulatory matters relating to Aether Financial Services’ activities; you will monitor legal and regulatory developments in these areas and keep your line manager informed of your findings and any issues you have identified,
• Handle corporate matters for Aether Financial Services (legal secretariat, etc.);
• Get involved in and contribute to more cross-functional or related projects.

YOUR PROFILE

Expertise

• You hold a master’s degree (BAC + 5) in banking and/or financial law,
• at least 2 years’ experience in specialist law firms (LBO, infrastructure or structured finance, capital markets), banks (agency), advisory firms (corporate finance, debt advisory) or investment firms (debt funds),
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint,
• Very good writing skills in French,
• Excellent command of English; professional experience working in English would be an advantage,
• Proficiency in another language would also be an advantage.
