Platform Engineer

Overview

As a Systems Management Specialist, you shepherd the System Architecture Plan and manage resources to ensure InterSystems software is delivered and deployed per project requirements. You collaborate across teams to patch, build, and install TrakCare on customer platforms, while maintaining hosted solutions and infrastructure. You troubleshoot, optimize performance, and support custom development and integrations. You contribute to presales architecture and produce technical documentation, with opportunities to train on-site and automate routine operations. You help drive service quality and scalable delivery.

Responsabilità

• Design, review, and install InterSystems products including TrakCare patches, releases and builds on customer platforms per QA and SLAs
• Administer and maintain hosted solutions and related infrastructure with cross-team coordination
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and performance analysis of implementations
• Support custom development (JavaScript, UDFs, interfaces, reports, data migration scripts) and conversions
• Test and support TrakCare utilities (patch tool, print service)
• Assist Presales with architecture, configuration, and hardware sizing requests
• Produce technical documentation (reference materials, installation instructions, user guides, KB articles)
• Participate in on-site technical training and implementations as required
• Script, maintain, and verify backups; automate routine deployment activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of operations for exceptional service quality

Requisiti fondamentali

• In-depth Linux/UNIX system configuration, implementation, and administration experience (prefer SUSE/RedHat)
• Strong scripting skills and ability to modify system-level code to improve performance
• Familiarity with information security best practices
• Creative problem-solving and strong troubleshooting/analytic abilities
• Experience managing mission-critical infrastructures and applications
• Availability to work outside normal hours for system updates as needed
