Process Engineer - Industrialisation

With more than two decades of experience, automated manufacturing capabilities and around 200 employees, SolydEra combines multidisciplinary expertise across RD, engineering, manufacturing and commercial activities in Italy, Switzerland and Australia, supporting the industrialization and deployment of solid oxide technology at scale. /p h3Job Purpose /h3 pThe Process Engineer is responsible for the bdesign, industrialisation, validation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes /b for SOFC cells and stacks. /p pThe role defines process parameters and specifications, supports equipment and tooling qualification, and contributes to the ramp-up from pilot to serial production. The Process Engineer drives improvements in byield, quality, cycle time and cost /b, acting as the technical owner of assigned manufacturing processes. /p pThe role reports to the Head of Industrialisation and works closely with bRD, Production, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain /b. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign, develop and industrialise manufacturing processes, defining bprocess parameters, operating windows, tolerances and capability requirements /b. /li liLead bprocess validation /b, including DOE, pre-series and qualification runs, and prepare validation documentation. /li liSupport bNPI and technology transfer /b from development to production, providing manufacturing input to RD and ensuring Design for Manufacturability. /li liDefine and maintain process documentation, including bprocess specifications, work instructions, control plans, process flows, SOPs and PFMEA /b. /li liDefine technical requirements for bequipment, tooling and automation /b, supporting supplier selection, commissioning and qualification, including FAT/SAT and IQ/OQ/PQ. /li liMonitor process performance through bFPY, scrap, cycle time, OEE and Cp/Cpk /b, using data analysis and statistical process control to identify and resolve deviations. /li liLead broot cause analysis and corrective actions /b using 8D, 5-Why and Ishikawa. /li liDrive bcontinuous improvement /b using Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma principles to improve efficiency and reduce scrap, downtime, lead time and cost. /li liProvide technical support to Production, support process stabilisation and train operators on process requirements and controls. /li liSupport bcapacity planning, layout, material flow, supplier qualification and process audits /b. /li liPrepare process documentation for btechnology and process transfer /b to other production sites, partners or Group entities. /li liReport process performance, project progress and technical risks to the Head of Industrialisation. /li /ul h3Qualifications Experience /h3 ul liDegree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering. /li lib3–7 years of experience /b as Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Industrialisation Engineer or in a comparable production environment. /li liExperience in technology-intensive manufacturing environments such as bfuel cells, advanced ceramics, batteries, electronics, semiconductor, automotive or medical devices /b. /li liProven experience in bprocess validation, NPI and production ramp-up /b. /li liPractical knowledge of bPFMEA, Control Plans, DOE, SPC and Cp/Cpk /b. /liliExperience with equipment specification, commissioning and qualification, including bFAT/SAT and IQ/OQ/PQ /b. /li liKnowledge of bLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and structured problem solving /b; Green Belt certification is a plus. /li liKnowledge of measurement and inspection methods, technical drawings and GDT. /li liGood command of bExcel and data analysis /b; familiarity with ERP or manufacturing execution systems is a plus. /li liUnderstanding of bISO 9001 /b and HSE requirements in a manufacturing environment. /li libFluent English required; Italian highly preferred. /b /li liExperience in bSOFC, ceramic processing or technology transfer /b is a plus. /li /ul h3Personal Skills /h3 ul liAnalytical, data-driven and results-oriented approach. /li liHands-on attitude and willingness to work closely with Production and on the shopfloor. /li liStrong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. /li liEffective communication and collaboration across bRD, Production, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain /b. /li liProactive and resilient, comfortable working in a growing industrial environment. /li liStrong integrity, confidentiality and safety awareness. /li /ul h3Working Conditions /h3 pThe role is based in bPergine Valsugana (Trento), Italy /b, with regular presence on the production floor. /p pThe position requires bavailability to travel, including international travel /b, as needed for production, supplier, technology transfer and other business activities. /p h3Salary range: /h3 p€ 35.000 – € 45.000 gross annual salary (RAL), depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience and skills. /p pIf you believe your profile and experience could bring significant value to Solydera, we encourage you to apply even if your expectations are outside the indicated range.
