You will provide key support, ensuring effective collaboration with primary stakeholders across ESA establishments. /p h3About the client and location /h3 pThe European Space Agency (ESA) is an intergovernmental organisation committed to studying space and increasing global awareness on current space exploration and related scientific research. /p pESA is responsible for outlining and implementing the current European space programme and ensuring its successful execution. Current programmes aim to develop new and existing satellite‑based technologies, further our understanding of space whilst also using this information to study Earth and the current climate. /p pThis position is open to protected categories under Italian Law 68/99 (“Rules for the right to work of disabled people”). /p h3Tasks and activities /h3 pThe scope of work will include ensuring that the applications in charge operates properly, including: /p ul liHandling application‑related exceptions and escalations. /li liGranting the usability of the applications to end‑users. /li liGuaranteeing the adherence of the applications with business processes. /li liRelying on the application services supplied by the providers including functional support, corrective maintenance, minor evolution and in some cases major evolution. /li liOverseeing ticket management processes. /li liActing as the agency’s operational authority for applications, covering both functional and business aspects. /li liServing as the point of contact for suppliers regarding queries and issues requiring Application Coordinator follow‑up. /li liReviewing deliverables and documentation. /li liCoordinating the end‑to‑end preparation, execution, and follow‑up of organisational processes contributing to the delivery of the agency’s activities. /li liProviding guidance on processes, procedures, and tools to ensure consistent understanding and application across organisational units. /li liLeading and managing the end‑to‑end process of implementation of new business process/requirements. /li liServing as a key operational interface with internal and external stakeholders, including Member State delegations, institutional partners, industry, and other ESA directorates. /li liProviding demand management towards ESA Customer Representatives, Process Leaders, SPOCs and end‑users. /li liFacilitating stakeholder alignment by ensuring clear, structured, and timely exchanges of information, data, and documentation. /li liCoordinating with the service provider on impact assessment, negotiation, development, testing, and deployment of new or evolving business requirements. /li liMonitoring the adoption of newly implemented solutions within applications through regular reviews. /li liSupporting projects based on their complexity and criticality. /li liContributing to Year‑End Closure to indude, reorganisation and rebooking. /li liProviding support for ad‑hoc activities related to IT infrastructure maintenance and requests from CISOS providers. /li liReviewing service provider proposals to ensure alignment with and maximise the Agency’s interests. /li liManaging and supervising application‑related exceptions and escalations raised by users, including participation in ESA departmental and divisional meetings. /li liExperience with SAP procurement modules included at least SRM and ECC Modules and S/4 procurement. /li /ul h3Skills and experience /h3 pThe following skills and experience are mandatory: /p ul liExperience with SAP procurement modules, including SRM, ECC, and S/4. /li liProven experience in IT consultancy. /li liExperience working in international environments. /li liSolid understanding of service models aligned with ITIL 4 and ITSM tools. /li liExperience with Microsoft 365. /li liFluent in English, both written and spoken. /li /ul pThe following skills and experience would be highly desirable: /p ul liExperience with AIOps scenarios /li liKnowledge of ESA‑STAR. /li liExperience with end‑to‑end observability tools. /li liA good working knowledge of other EU languages. /li /ul h3Why should you apply? /h3 ul liYou will have the opportunity to work within leading space organisations across Europe. /li liWe encourage everyone to think outside the box and to push the boundaries of traditional knowledge.
