You will turn a creative idea into a working electromechanical installation, moving across motion architecture, component selection, prototyping, mechanical integration, electronics and firmware interfaces, testing and commissioning. /p /brpWe are looking for a proactive, hands‑on Mechatronics Engineer who enjoys complex physical systems, makes sound decisions across disciplines and stays accountable for how the complete system performs. You will own real motion systems from the first architecture choices through workshop validation and on‑site delivery. /p /brh3In this role you will /h3 /brulliTranslate creative and functional requirements into buildable electromechanical architectures, with clear interfaces between mechanics, electronics and control systems. /liliSelect and size motors, actuators, gearboxes, transmissions, drives, brakes, encoders and sensors. /liliDesign, tune and validate single‑axis and coordinated motion, including motion profiles, homing, operating limits, fault handling and recovery. /liliWork closely with our embedded engineer to define requirements and interfaces for custom electronics and firmware, debug integration issues and validate system performance. /liliCreate practical mechanical designs and CAD models for mechanisms, mounts, enclosures, sensor integration, cable routing and test rigs. /liliBuild and test prototypes using 3D printing, workshop processes and representative hardware to resolve technical uncertainties early. /liliCollaborate with technicians during assembly, wiring and testing, investigating failures and turning findings into robust design improvements. /liliDefine and review requirements and deliverables for external electrical suppliers, including cabinet design, schematics and wiring. /liliDevelop technical documentation, bills of materials, test plans and commissioning procedures, with clear acceptance criteria. /liliSupport international installation, commissioning, handover and troubleshooting of the systems you design. /li /ul /brh3Must have /h3 /brulliDemonstrable ownership of an electromechanical or motion‑control system that you personally helped design, build and functionally test. /liliPractical experience selecting and sizing motors, actuators, transmissions and drives, supported by sound engineering reasoning. /liliHands‑on experience with servo tuning or the implementation and validation of coordinated motion. /liliExperience integrating sensors, encoders, I/O, custom electronics and embedded firmware into working physical systems. /liliMechanical design and CAD proficiency for system integration, prototypes and test equipment. /liliKnowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture and assembly, with attention to tolerances, serviceability, cost and lead times. /liliHands‑on experience with rapid prototyping, assembly, wiring, testing and root‑cause analysis. /liliThe ability to define and review electrical requirements and supplier deliverables, even when detailed electrical design is outsourced. /liliInstallation and commissioning experience, availability for workshop integration in Turin and willingness to travel internationally. /liliProfessional working proficiency in English for technical collaboration and documentation. /li /ul /brh3Key skills /h3 /brullibSystems thinking: /b understand how mechanics, electronics and firmware interact, and make decisions based on the performance of the complete system. /lilibTechnical ownership: /b propose solutions, explain your reasoning and follow decisions through prototyping, validation and commissioning. /lilibPractical problem solving: /b isolate root causes on real hardware, test assumptions and use evidence to improve the design. /lilibEngineering judgement: /b balance performance, safety, reliability and maintainability against cost, schedule and manufacturing constraints. /lilibCross-disciplinary collaboration: /b work effectively with embedded engineers, mechanical designers, technicians and external suppliers. /lilibProactivity and adaptability: /b turn incomplete requirements into workable solutions, identify risks early and refine your approach as the project develops. /lilibClear technical communication: /b document interfaces, decisions and test results so others can build, operate and maintain what you design. /lilibAdditional technical skills: /b experience with PLC platforms, industrial communication networks, functional safety or diagnostic tools is a plus. Leva primarily uses custom motion‑control electronics and firmware, so hands‑on system integration remains the core requirement. /li /ul /brpAs a reference, compensation for mid‑level profiles typically starts at around €32,000 RAL + benefits package.
