There may be opportunities to work across tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology as part of a dedicated and dynamic team. /p h3Working day expectations: /h3 ul liMatch Day - Arrival up to 7 hours pre-Kick Off /li liMatch Day - End of day up to 2 hours post-game completion /li liThere are also varied needs during the setup day/s which may require the assistants to be present on the day/s before match day. /li liThe role requires the consultant to be flexible with work hours depending on the needs of the onsite team /li /ul pWe are looking for committed and passionate people that are willing, and able to work throughout the football season. Please consider that this work is likely to be mostly on the weekend with some midweek fixtures. /p pWe will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your match day tasks but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do. Working as a Football Video Systems Technician is a great entry-level route into full-time employment with Hawk-Eye Innovations Ltd. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 pThe main purpose of this role is to supervise and manage all the technical equipment present in the stadium for three of our Football systems: Video Assistant Referee (VAR), Goal-Line Technology (GLT) and Electronic Performance Tracking System (EPTS). /p ul liProvide support to the GLT operator in connecting the van with the Goal-Line Technology system equipment installed at the stadium and verifying the correct functioning of the latter /li liCheck that all the servers and equipment present on the van or in the Control Room are functioning and resolve the problems if necessary /li liConnect the van or the Control Room with the Remote Center and test the connection with the Technical Guarantee in Lissone /li liInstallation of the audio and Referee Review Area (RRA) system on the sidelines and test with Lissone /li liTake the video signals from the control medium of all the cameras that frame the field and provide our outputs for: GLT/Semi-Automatic Offside (SAO); VAR; ARE YOU THERE; VORcam /li liFill in the checklist relating to your role, reporting any uncompleted checks and specifying the reason /li liMonitor the GLT and VAR systems during the match, communicating any problems to the Remote Center news station and resolving them with the support of the latter /li liFill in your sections in the match report and all the documents assigned in the check-list /li liHelp the GLT Operator with dismantling activities /li /ul h3Skills, Knowledge and Expertise /h3 pbEssential: /b /p ul liBright and enterprising with excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills /li liProactive, responsible attitude and ability to work on your initiative with minimum supervision /li liTime management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure, procedural, live broadcast environment /li liAbility to liaise with stakeholders professionally and approachable with attention to good communication. /li liComfortable working in English (reading, writing and speaking) as you may need to interact with colleagues from other countries /li liAble to adapt to flexible working conditions with irregular working hours /li liMust be located within a 50km radius of the specified city /li liApplicants must have a VAT number or bewilling to open one /li /ul pbPreferred: /b /p ul liA technical background, ideally in IT or Broadcast /li liAn interest in sports and/or sports analysis, with a good knowledge of football and the rules of the game /li liExperience working with VT/replay technology desirable, or live event / technical production /li liPrepared to travel locally and, if required, further afield in Italy /li liDriving licence /li /ul pAt Hawk-Eye Innovations, we appreciate and value the importance of potential and growth. /p h3Make an Impact in the World of Football /h3 pJoin our dedicated and dynamic team and help revolutionise how technology is used in Football!
