Job Description

• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network and application systems.
• Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents and breaches.
• Participate in risk assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls and best practices.
• Research and stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Document security findings and create detailed reports for management review.

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
• Experience or coursework in computer science, information security, or a related field.
• Ability to analyze and interpret security data and logs.
• Understanding of network protocols and operating systems.
• Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Passion for cybersecurity and protecting digital assets.
• Would be a plus:
• Familiarity with ethical hacking and penetration testing methodologies.
• Basic understanding of regulatory compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
