Power Delivery Assurance Manager

About this opportunity

The Power Delivery Assurance Manager provides independent oversight of power delivery activities across multiple data centre projects during construction. The role focuses on improving visibility of power delivery status, identifying risks early, and supporting the timely achievement of project milestones .

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements.
• Reviewing power delivery plans, schedules, and progress updates across the portfolio.
• Maintaining a project inventory covering utility providers, required infrastructure, key milestones, and delivery dates.
• Identifying projects requiring enhanced oversight based on complexity, schedule concerns, or delivery performance.
• Verifying that key power delivery activities, including utility works, permitting, substations, energisation, and commissioning, are accurately reflected in project schedules.
• Assessing progress against agreed milestones and contractual commitments.
• Challenging delivery assumptions, schedule logic, and reported progress where supporting evidence is limited.
• Identifying, assessing, and documenting power delivery risks that could impact project delivery dates.
• Monitoring utility, permitting, design, procurement, and energisation activities using information provided by the responsible stakeholders.
• Preparing regular reports highlighting project status, emerging risks, and recommended mitigation actions.
• Escalating material issues to project teams, regional leads and Energy stakeholders as required.
• Participating in project reviews, schedule workshops, risk reviews, and power status meetings.
• Attending lessor-led meetings where additional visibility of progress and risks is required.
• Reviewing lessor progress against agreed power delivery commitments.
• Highlighting concerns where utility, permitting, procurement, or energisation activities are trending behind plan.
• Supporting the development of mitigation and recovery plans where risks are identified.
• Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular, those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

• Relevant experience in power delivery, utilities, or electrical infrastructure on large-scale construction projects, preferably data centres.
• Proven ability to review schedules, identify risks, and provide independent oversight of delivery progress.
• Strong skills in milestone tracking, risk reporting, and challenging assumptions with limited supporting evidence.
• Good understanding of utility coordination, permitting processes, energisation, and commissioning activities.
• Ability to work across a portfolio of projects and communicate findings clearly to project teams and leadership.
  
• Available to travel across multiple sites.
• Fluent level of English. Spanish or Italian are desirable.
• Right to work in the EU and a valid driving licence.
  

Qualifications

• Degree in Power Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
