This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who have a solid technical background and a passion for failure analysis, product quality, and reliability engineering. /ppYou will support the examination of customer-reported problems in this position. You will take part in determining root causes and cooperate with various teams to boost product quality and stop failures from happening again. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliSupport failure analysis (FA) activities on returned products to identify failure mechanisms /liliSupport root cause analysis through structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D) /liliExamine test data, logs, and manufacturing information to detect patterns and irregularities /liliContribute to preparation of technical reports (FA reports, 8D) for internal and customer use leveraging AI /liliWork with cross-functional teams (Build, Process, Manufacturing, Reliability) to support issue resolution /liliParticipate in quality monitoring and data analysis to track trends and detect deviations applying AI /liliAssist in the definition and tracking of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) /liliSupport continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization /li /ulh3Qualifications / Requirements /h3ulliBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Engineering, Electronics, or related field /liliStrong analytical and problem-solving skills /liliBasic understanding of electronics and semiconductor devices /liliFamiliarity with data analysis (Excel, basic statistics) /liliGood communication skills and ability to work in a team /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliInternship or academic experience in failure investigation, reliability, or quality engineering /liliExperience with memory technology such as NAND, SSD, eMMC, UFS /liliFamiliarity with Linux environment or scripting (Python) and AI tools /liliFundamental understanding of quality tools (8D, root cause analysis) /li /ulh3Key Skills /h3ulliAnalytical thinking and attention to detail /liliStructured problem solving /liliWillingness to learn and grow in a technical environment /liliCollaboration in cross-functional and global teams /liliClear technical communication /li /ulh3What You Will Learn /h3pIn this role, you will have the opportunity to develop a solid foundation in quality engineering and failure analysis within the semiconductor industry. You will: /pulliGain practical experience in failure analysis techniques and diagnostic methodologies /liliDiscover how to implement organized problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis) in practical situations /liliAcquire knowledge of memory technologies (e.g., NAND, SSD, eMMC, UFS) and the ways they can fail /liliDevelop skills in data analysis, including interpreting test results, logs, and manufacturing data /liliUnderstand the complete product quality process, from customer return through root cause analysis and resolution /liliWork with worldwide cross-functional teams and learn how to collaborate across engineering fields /liliSee customer-facing quality processes and technical communication /liliProactively explore opportunities to contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives /li /ulh3Compensation and Benefits /h3pThe base salary range that Micron estimates it could pay in for this position full-time is: 33,000.00 € - 56,000.00 € per year, with B2 CCNL Level. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
