Key job responsibilities

• Developing in-depth knowledge of HR functions within Amazon's fast-paced operations
• Assisting with internal communication efforts to align teams across multiple countries, promoting collaboration and information-sharing
• Helping develop training plans and materials to address the evolving development needs of various teams, supporting employee growth
• Learning about HR functions across the broader Amazon organization and staying up-to-date on best practices
• Providing support to Amazon employees on a range of daily queries related to attendance, engagement, compensation, and other HR matters
• Assisting HR teams with day-to-day operational routines and administrative tasks
• Participating in process reviews to identify opportunities for simplification and automation, driving efficiency improvements
• Compiling comprehensive personnel statistics, reports, and performance evaluations to inform decision-making
• Partnering closely with business leaders to align HR strategies and initiatives with organizational goals and priorities

A day in the life

Every day is a little different as an Operations Human Resources Partner Intern. This internship will immerse you in HR within a global organisation, with the opportunity to work on projects across different HR areas — from employee relations and training to compensation and workforce analytics. You might spend your morning analysing workforce data to identify trends and build recommendations for your team, then spend your afternoon supporting an employee relations case or collaborating with operations leaders on a training initiative.

Amazon's HR function is deeply embedded in the business, so no matter which project you are working on, part of your role will involve using data and analytical thinking to drive decisions. You'll apply your problem-solving and technical skills to real challenges, while developing important communication and professional soft skills through hands‑on experience. With a dedicated mentor guiding your development throughout the programme, you'll gain insights into how HR partners with the business to drive growth and organisational excellence — providing a strong foundation for a career in human resources.

Internship Start Dates across the year:

We are hiring interns to start anytime from January through September 2027. Each month, we'll hold 1-2 onboarding days for new hires.

Basic Qualifications

• Speak, write, and read fluently in Italian and English at C1 level or above
• Currently in your penultimate or final year and working towards a university bachelor's or master's in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, Marketing, Social Sciences, Law or a related field (Humanities focused), or a similar discipline
• Mandatory to be able to sign a learning agreement with student's University
• Available for a full-time internship (maximum 40 hours/week) and commit to 3 to 6 month internship maximum

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with others.
• Demonstrated curiosity, proactivity, and willingness to take on challenges in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rated.

Amazon's package may include further pay components where applicable. Your recruiting team will share final salary, depending on requirements.

In addition to statutory benefits, company supplementary benefits may apply subject to further terms.
