Function
Due to our continued growth, Barco is expanding its worldwide sales organization. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record to join our sales team as Territory Manager for the Italian market, focusing on the Rome area and South Italy.
The purpose of this role is to prospect, identify, and develop control room solutions-related opportunities in targeted markets and accounts. Build a network, develop & maintain relationships with partners, system integrators, end users, and consultants to detect and influence opportunities early. Maintain relationships with partners and enable them to promote Barco solutions in their respective markets, alongside growing the partner base to optimize market potential with Barco's portfolio. You will interact with various local (large) system integrators, consultants, and end-users. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, enthusiastic, hardworking, tech-savvy, and self-motivated. Equally important, you will be willing to contribute to and share in the success of our continued growth.
Key responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local partners, consultants, and end-users to maximize Barco’s market presence.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on Control Rooms solutions and related technologies.
- Manage processes for creating quotes, managing sales cycles in CRM, developing and negotiating proposals and commercial agreements. Track business opportunities and sales funnel performance, providing regular forecasting, market intelligence, and competitive analysis to sales management, segment marketing, and product management.
- Identify and introduce new customers and opportunities to local partners.
- Maintain and grow business with existing customers, both directly and through the partner network.
- Support opportunity conversion by assisting local partners and customers through various sales stages.
- Support growth in new markets and increase Barco’s share of wallet by introducing Barco solutions.
- Participate in trade shows and regional events.
- Translate customer needs into Barco solutions and offerings.
- Provide regular forecasting, market intelligence, and competitive analysis.
- Participate in training at Barco HQ in Belgium and deliver product training to local partners.
- Be flexible for international travel based on business needs.
- Adopt a disciplined and organized approach to travel, CRM pipeline management, and lead follow-up.
- Work effectively across organizational and national boundaries in a matrix environment.
Candidate profile
- A university degree in business, marketing, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to combine commercial and technical skills with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Self-assured, outgoing personality with practical, reliable, and flexible working style, requiring minimal support.
- Proven success in technology and solution sales.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the market.
- Experience in selling solutions including software and services.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Native Italian speaker, with effective spoken and written English skills.
