The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks within our Rolling Stock Engineering Department. The position is based in Pistoia or Napoli - IT. /ph3Accountabilities /h3ulliPrepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for electrical components /liliAnalyze and assess technical documentation from Suppliers /liliPrepare and verify electrical system installation/integration drawings/specifications (including material selection, electromagnetic/thermal analysis, etc.) /liliPerform simulations to optimize electrical systems performance and energy efficiency /liliConduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned work package, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers /liliAttend at system stand‑alone type test and review type test reports /liliSupport manufacturing, testing and validation phases /liliReview design documentation with customers and suppliers /liliPrepare electrical schematics, collaborating with mechanical design teams to ensure seamless electromechanical integration /liliPrepare Bill of Materials (BoM) of electrical schematics /liliEnsure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality) /liliPrepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase /li /ulh3Required Skills/ Knowledge /h3ulliExperience (3-5 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments /liliGood knowledge of main railway regulations and standards /liliGood knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool /liliGood knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations /liliKnowledge of traction systems and power converters /liliKnowledge of RAMS principles and processes /liliGood knowledge of electrotechnics and electronics disciplines /liliGood knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies /liliGood knowledge of electrical CAD tools (E3 preferred) /liliGood knowledge of electrical components (relays, circuit brakers, cables, connectors, etc.) /liliGood knowledge of electrical schematics design /liliGood knowledge of electrical machine design principles /liliGood knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., Ansys Maxwell, Motor‑CAD). /liliGood knowledge of thermal and electromagnetic analysis /liliGood knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) /liliAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced, international and multicultural environment /liliStrong planning and organizational skills, alongside team‑working and problem‑solving mindset /liliAbility to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers) /liliAbility to work within project teams under minimum supervision /liliAvailability for occasional short‑term national and international business trips /li /ulh3Desired Skills/ Knowledge /h3ulliFast learner with strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developments /liliGood business acumen combined with solid technical skills /liliGood communication and interpersonal skills /li /ulh3Education/Qualifications /h3pMaster's Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics disciplines preferred). /ph3Languages /h3pKnowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level). /ph3Other /h3p"Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l'industria metalmeccanica privata e l'installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B2, ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale." /ppProponiamo una retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 36.000 € e 46.000 € /ph3Equal Opportunity /h3pAt Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.
