Sourcing Specialist - Supplier Quality Engineering (M/F/D)

In this role you will drive continuous improvement in supplier quality for Baker Hughes, collaborating with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics to minimize defects and reduce quality-related costs. You will qualify and develop suppliers, lead root-cause analyses, and support corrective actions while aligning the supply base with business needs. This position offers exposure to a global energy technology environment focused on quality, efficiency, and supplier development. • Identify, scout, and select potential new suppliers
• Qualify suppliers per company standards
• Conduct periodic supplier audits for compliance
• Lead RCA with suppliers and support corrective actions
• Review on-the-job inspection results per Quality Control Plans
• Assist suppliers with Deviation Request (SDR) management
• Manage supplier-related Non-Conformity Records (NCR)
• Provide technical support to buyers/engineering/BOM teams to meet purchasing needs

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or minimum 5 years of experience in quality/engineering/testing
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Fluency in English and Italian
• Proficiency with PC and office software
• Willingness to travel frequently
• Knowledge of ISO9001 quality systems
• Knowledge of welding, NDT, surface preparation, and painting
• Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience with root cause analysis (NCA/RCA) and corrective actions
