Final Assembly Mechanic

Introduction

The transformer is ready for the final phase. Together with your team, you place the internal components in the tank, connect the parts, and check step by step whether everything is being assembled according to the drawing and work instructions. As a Final Assembly Mechanic, you work on large, technical products that are deployed worldwide after inspection. Organization

This organization is active in transformer technology and manufactures power transformers and secondary installations that are important for the energy supply of the future. From a modern production facility in Nijmegen, various departments work together on technically high-quality products, from winding and assembly to testing and technical support.

You will be working in the Final Assembly department. This is the last step before the transformer goes to inspection. Within this department, you will work in a 2-shift system together with a team of about 20 mechanics to completely build transformers. These activities can take 2 to 4 weeks per transformer.

Function

As a Final Assembly Mechanic, you are responsible for completely assembling transformers. You place the internal components in the tank and prepare the transformer for the next phase. Then you continue to build the product according to technical drawings and work instructions.

You also connect the feed-throughs in the tank and check during work if everything is technically correct. If you encounter a problem during construction? Then you report it, think along with the solution and take action where possible immediately. Because the final assembly is the last phase before inspection, independence, curiosity, and attention to detail are important.

In addition, you think along with improvements in the process. You work on transformers that, after testing and preparation for shipment, go around the world. In some cases, you may also be involved in the worldwide placement and assembly of transformers.

Job Requirements

What is expected from you?

• You have a completed MBO education in mechanics, electrical engineering, or electromechanics;
• You have experience as an assembly mechanic or in a similar role;
• You can read and interpret technical drawings;
• You can work at height or around large technical constructions without problems;
• You can work in confined or limited spaces;
• You are willing to work in a 2-shift system
• You have a driver's license B;
• You speak Dutch and English;
• You are looking for a long-term job.
