PLC Programmer

Senior Siemens TIA Portal Engineer | Contract | Italy

Edison Smart are working with a leading industrial automation software house on an exciting contract opportunity in Italy. The project involves the development and commissioning of advanced automated plant incorporating robotics and PLC-controlled machinery, with strong potential for ongoing work across subsequent plants.

The role:

• Travel across Italy covering both development and commissioning phases
• Working with robotics and PLC-controlled machinery in an advanced manufacturing environment
• FAT and SAT across development and commissioning phases

Essential requirements:

• 10+ years of PLC/controls engineering experience
• Strong hands-on Siemens TIA Portal programming skills
• Fluent Italian speaker
• Experience with FAT/SAT and machine commissioning
• Right to work in Italy

Desirable skills:

• Profinet / S7 1500
• WinCC or HMI development
• Safety PLC (TIA Safety / STEP 7 Safety)
• Robotics integration
