YOUR ROLE As an Automotive Software Engineering Transformation Consultant/Senior Consultant at Capgemini Invent, you will support leading automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in their software-driven transformation journey, combining strategy consulting, process optimization and engineering methodology design with a focus on automotive software excellence. In this role, you will be a key player in the following activities:- Support compliance, assessments and certifications for ASPICE, ISO 26262 and related automotive standards through gap analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive Software-Defined Vehicle, ADAS and OTA transformation programs for automotive clients.
- Define and optimize software engineering, integration, validation and testing strategies across the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Software, System Engineering and Validation teams to ensure traceability and product quality.
- Enhance engineering toolchains, test automation frameworks and CI/CD practices.
- Lead workshops, facilitate stakeholder alignment and contribute to engineering transformation roadmaps.
- For Senior Consultants: mentor junior consultants and lead project workstreams.
- 3–6+ years of experience in Automotive Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or Product Development environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of ASPICE; familiarity with ISO 26262, IATF 16949 or UNECE WP.29 is a plus.
- Experience with ALM, testing and model-based engineering tools (e.g. Jira, DOORS, Polarion, CANoe, dSPACE, Simulink, Rhapsody, PREEvision).
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software, Automation or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong analytical mindset, communication skills and ability to work in international multi-stakeholder environments.
