In addition, provides both in-house and in-field support for debugging and troubleshooting. /p pActive involvement in the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to delivery, is a key part of the role. The Software Developer ensures best practices are applied to maximize efficiency and meet development objectives. /p pCollaboration is essential. We promote mutual respect, human diversity, and the highest professional standards. /p h3Position Responsibilities /h3 ul liDelivering software with high usability, performance, and reliability. /li liDesign, develop, test, and maintain software modules, subsystems, or applications, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet functional requirements, quality standards, and project timelines. /li liCollaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, analyze system specifications, and contribute to the overall software architecture. /li liProvide in‑house and in‑field support for debugging and troubleshooting, addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner. /li liKeep abreast of emerging software technologies and industry trends, and incorporate new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the company’s software solutions. /li liParticipate in the creation and refinement of development processes to continuously improve software development efficiency and reduce time to market. /li liContribute to Technology Roadmaps that guide software development to meet Customers’ needs. /li liFoster clear and effective communication with internal teams, external vendors, and consultants to maintain a high level of collaboration and alignment across projects. /li /ul h3Position Requirements /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in computer science / engineering. /li liProven experience (4+ years) in software development, with exposure in designing and developing complex software modules, subsystems, or applications. /li liExperience of Linux operating system, shell scripting, and containers. /li liExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. /li liSecurity and reliability coding experience. /li liExpertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.) and software development frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Angular). /li liNetworked inter‑module communication experience. /li liSolid understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including automatic software quality checks and unit testing frameworks. /li liExperience working through the full software development lifecycle, from analysis to delivery. /li liProblem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex software issues. /li liStrong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and share ideas across teams. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liSoftware development experience in regulated environments (IEC62304, ISO13485). /li liExperience in LIMS / LIS / middleware software specification and development. /li liExperience in diagnostic / life science laboratory automation and/or devices with hands‑on knowledge of modules / analyzers interface protocols. /li liProficiency and expertise in ASTM and HL7 protocols. /li liUI / Frontend development experience, in particular for healthcare professional devices. /li liExperience with relational and non‑relational databases. /li liEvent‑driven programming. /li liData analytics ML exposure. /li /ul h3Personal Characteristics /h3 ul liImpeccably honest and ethical: demonstrates a strong commitment to integrity and transparency in all aspects of work. /li liCollaborative and communicative: able to work effectively across teams and functions, ensuring open communication and alignment, particularly in new product development projects. /li liSelf‑critical and open‑minded: possesses the ability to reflect on personal and team performance, continuously striving for improvement and embracing constructive feedback and critical discussions. /li liFlexible and adaptable: open to new ideas and approaches, willing to adjust and grow as situations evolve, while maintaining a focus on long‑term objectives. /li liAmbitious, innovative, and forward‑thinking: proactively seeks out opportunities for innovation, improvement, and strategic growth. /li /ul h3Work Location Flexibility /h3 pAt Brooks, we aim to foster a collaborative and engaging environment while offering flexibility where possible.
