The role
We are hiring a senior SEO who wants full ownership of an organic engine, end to end and hands on. Today our growth is paid heavy; your job is to change that. You will own everything organic: technical SEO, the topic and keyword strategy our content team executes, visibility in AI search (being cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews), YouTube search, and the backlinks and growth loops that compound over time. You work with our content and web teams but you have no SEO team under you: this role is built for an operator who prefers doing to delegating, and whose results show up in the acquisition cost of the whole company.

Your north star
Organic's share of new paying members growing every quarter, and PTDJA cited by AI assistants as the reference for learning to DJ and produce.

What you will own
Technical SEO and site health: architecture, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema and structured data, working with our web team.
Keyword and topic cluster strategy, briefed to and executed with our in house content team (you set the map, they produce).
AI search visibility (GEO / AEO): making PTDJA the source AI assistants cite for DJ and production questions: entity building, citations, content structured for answer engines.
YouTube search: DJ and production tutorials are a YouTube first category; you optimize how our video content gets found.
Backlinks and digital PR, white hat only: earned links through stories, data, partnerships and directory placements: you build them personally.
Growth loops that earn links and traffic: free tools, embeddables, referral and partnership mechanics designed with the growth team.
International and multi language SEO for our expansion markets (Spanish and Portuguese first).
Reporting: organic sessions, organic signups and organic's contribution to blended CPA, in our analytics stack.

A repeatable earned link program running (digital PR, tools, partnerships)

A meaningful, measured share of new members arriving through organic

Requirements (must have)
6+ years in SEO with senior individual ownership: you personally grew a site's organic traffic and can tell the story with numbers (from X to Y sessions or signups, in what timeframe, and what moved it).
Consumer business background: B2C subscription, membership, edtech, online learning, marketplace or content led consumer product. Not primarily B2B SaaS or local SEO.
Full stack SEO: both technical (crawling, indexation, site architecture, schema, Core Web Vitals) and editorial (topic clusters, briefs, on page). Single sided profiles will not enjoy this role.
Already working on AI search: GEO / AEO / LLM visibility with something concrete to show, not just opinions.
Link building you executed personally: earned links you can name, through white hat digital PR, content or partnerships. No bought links, no spam networks.
Autonomous operator: you have been the only SEO in a company, or the senior owner without a team, and you liked it.
Tool fluency: Google Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush, and a modern analytics stack (GA4, Mixpanel or similar).
Fluent English (working language). Rome hybrid, or remote EU with regular presence in Rome.

Nice to have
YouTube SEO track record (a real differentiator for this role).
Referral or affiliate program experience; programmatic SEO or free tool pages that earned links.
Multi language SEO (Spanish, Portuguese).
Passion for music, DJ culture or the creator economy.
Working Italian (or willingness to learn).
