Lead engineer - product design and engineering

Overview Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design and development of subsea distribution systems for offshore oil fields, shaping solutions that meet customer needs and international standards. You will work with cross‑functional teams to align interfaces, deliver CAD-based designs, and manage cost and schedule. You’ll partner with suppliers and program management to drive successful, compliant outcomes. This role offers opportunity to influence subsea technology and project execution in a global energy context. Responsibilities Establish technical requirements based on customer specifications and project needs per international codes and standards Lead design development activities including CAD modelling and documentation to ensure alignment with requirements and schedule Collaborate cross-functionally to align interfaces, design, activities, and deliverables Present design outcomes in design reviews as needed Be accountable for cost-out activities, budget monitoring and progress of engineering plans Manage engineering suppliers from a technical standpoint, guiding and ensuring compliance with technical and contractual requirements Provide engineering support to program management and stakeholders Support the sourcing team through procurement, manufacturing and test of designed products Provide consultancy advice to the project bid team Qualifications Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering Expert in 3 D CAD modelling Subsea equipment knowledge (desired) Robust mechanical design background in a similar role Proactive with ownership and responsibility Strong oral and written English communication Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Benefits and Requirements Contemporary work-life balance policies and wellbeing activities Comprehensive private medical care options Life insurance and disability programs Tailored financial programs Flexible working patterns Co-location in Florence office #J-18808-Ljbffr
