What Will You Do The Technical Operations Principal Scientist will lead the technical execution and manufacturing support of regional projects linked to Women’s health brands strategy (process optimization, industrialization, business continuity, compliance, and cost improvement programs), ensuring robust validation in production. The position needs to be filled with a mature technical expert that brings operational excellence and problem-solving capability to the team. The Person Needs To:- be capable of making decisions that directly impact business results
- communicate complex technical topics in a clear and pragmatic way to management and site stakeholders
- have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies in Women’s health products
- Build and support the end-to-end technical operations pipeline, ensuring delivery against business objectives, cost targets, and sustainability commitments
- Lead cross-functional technical projects linked to Women’s health strategy (process changes, industrialization, business continuity, compliance, cost improvement)
- Define and own end-to-end technical deliverables, collaborating with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing
- Lead process industrialization, and validation activities, ensuring robust and stable manufacturing performance
- Support technology transfer and process replication across sites
- Lead technical qualification of alternative suppliers and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications, no impact on product performance, and successful implementation in manufacturing
- Define and execute comparability studies, validation plans, and change control activities (e.g., risk assessments, FMEA)
- Act as process owner, supporting:
- troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- continuous process verification
- CAPA definition and implementation
- Follow standards and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety requirements
- Maintain awareness of new technologies and process innovations applicable to Women’s health products
- Provide progress updates to cross-functional teams
- Responsibilities may include technical leadership and people development
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy
- Min. 6 years’ experience in hygiene products / SanPro and materials’ technologies is required
- Deep knowledge of nonwoven materials and their manufacturing technology
- Strong knowledge of quality and regulations for this product category
- Strong knowledge of test methods and testing plan for the product category
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for liners and napkins
- Experience in process validation, industrialization, and troubleshooting
- Experience in material qualification and change management
- Knowledge of statistical analysis (Minitab preferred)
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Experience in technical project management
- Fluent written and oral English
- Digital and Data Fluency: Use data and analytics to drive process and cost improvements
- End-to-End Thinking and Problem Solving: Apply integrated, data-driven approaches to manufacturing and material challenges
- Business Acumen: Understand impact of technical decisions on operational and business performance
- Collaboration: Work effectively across functions and communicate clearly
