This role is key to ensuring a seamless transition from design to production, with a strong emphasis on manufacturability, cost optimization, and product scalability. The ideal candidate combines solid design expertise with hands-on manufacturing awareness and thrives in cross-functional environments. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign and develop mechanical components and assemblies using PTC Creo /li liApply DFM/DFA principles to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly /li liDrive the E2M process, supporting product transition from concept to serial production /li liProduce and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation /li liCollaborate with manufacturing, industrialization, quality, and supply chain teams /li liSupport prototyping, validation builds, and production ramp-up phases /li liWork closely with suppliers to validate design feasibility and manufacturing processes /li liIdentify opportunities for cost reduction, design simplification, and performance improvement /li liManage engineering changes through CR (Change Request) and CO (Change Order) processes, ensuring proper review, approval, and implementation /li liTroubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actionsEnsure compliance with technical standards, specifications, and safety requirements /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field /li li3–7+ years of experience in mechanical design with E2M or industrialization exposure /li liStrong proficiency in PTC Creo (preferred CAD system) /li liSolid understanding of DFM/DFA methodologies /li liExperience with PLM systems and BOM management /li liGood knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, sheet metal, plastics, etc.) /li liExperience supporting production ramp-up and manufacturing validation /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset /li liEffective communication and teamwork skills /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience in complex or high-volume manufacturing environments /li liKnowledge of GDT and tolerance analysis /li liFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools /li liExperience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers. /li /ul h3Work Environment /h3 ul liCombination of office-based design work and on-site manufacturing support /li liClose collaboration with production teams and external partners /li liOccasional travel to manufacturing sites as needed /li /ul pThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities. /p pbOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: /b Safety.
