In this role you will drive compound and manufacturing excellence within our Center of Excellence in Ponte San Nicolò, Italy. You will supervise compound workshops, audits, and supplier relationships, while coordinating global QA, costing, and development activities. You will push innovation across compounding, testing, and injection processes and ensure operational excellence through proactive issue resolution. This is a hands‑on, cross‑functional role that shapes manufacturing efficiency and product quality in a world‑class environment.Retribuzione / Benefits
- Supervise compound workshop and testing laboratory operations, ensuring maintenance, calibration, audits, planning, and test execution.
- Coordinate regional compound suppliers via metrics, audits, and reports, fostering strong business relationships built on trust.
- Conduct formal and informal audits in compounding, lab, and injection floors; drive corrective actions and improvement plans with suppliers onsite.
- Support global/regional functions (Product Execution, QA, Costing, Compliance, Development) in transferring or developing products, guidelines, and standard methodologies.
- Drive innovation in compounding, testing, and injection processes through evolutionary changes.
- Communicate process issues promptly and support resolution to maintain operational excellence.
- Coordinate data collection with OEM partners for data‑driven operations; manage pricing data in SAP and PLM systems and ensure accurate purchase orders.
- Promote cost‑saving initiatives and monitor benchmarks to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Oversee QA activities across Europe, implementing AQL methodology and collaborating with global teams to ensure manufacturing efficiency.
- Transfer tech packs, apply quality standards, and collaborate with global teams to achieve efficiency.
- University degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymers, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in plastic/rubber compounding or injection molding, preferably in R&D or process technology.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and curiosity for new processes.
- Hands‑on, practical approach in lab and production environments.
- Teamwork and ability to collaborate in international, cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proactive communicator who can raise issues, propose solutions, and influence collaborators.
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in materials, processes, and manufacturing.
