EMEA Mechanical Project Engineer

pThe core task of the EMEA Case Conveyor Systems team is the implementation of project-specific conveyor systems in intralogistics. The focus is on container and light unit load conveyor technology. The team uses Dematic standard belt and roller conveyor technology, special conveyor designs, and purchased components. The spectrum of purchased components ranges from standard catalog items to complex machines. Cross-departmental cooperation with the specialist departments of Project Delivery, Hardware Controls, Structural Engineering, Software Controls, Solution Development, Technical Purchasing, CE Compliance, Manufacturing, and Installation rounds out the range of tasks. The project scope and deadline situation determine the number of team members involved in a project. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. /p h3Tasks and Qualifications: /h3 pBasic Engineering: /p ul liCreation of the approval layout for the customer design freeze /li liSafety assessment of the project scope (mechanics) and determination of the necessary measures. /li liCreation of detailed concepts based on the sales layout and project requirements and integration into the approval layout /li liMaterial flow review based on the sales layout and the products transported on the conveyor system. /li liClarification of interfaces with other trades such as steel construction, building, etc. /li liCollision check /li liDefinition of access areas for service and maintenance of the system. /li liDefinition of escape and transport routes /li liDefinition of the required special designs. /li liErgonomic assessment of the workstations /li liPreliminary mockup design of the workstations /li liMeasurement recording at the customer site (brownfield projects) /li liEngineering support in customer meetings during this engineering phase /li /ul pDetail Engineering: /p ul liCreate detailed layouts /li liDetailed definition of the conveyor technology (drives, conveyor speeds, roller and belt design, lateral guides, supports, suspension, etc.) /li liDetailed planning of the required stepovers, maintenance platforms, etc. for maintenance and service. /li liDetailed planning of the required safety devices. /li liCreate technical specifications for purchased components and coordinate the technical details with the supplier. /li liImplement special designs /li liFinal mockup design of the workstations, including detailed technical and ergonomic coordination with the customer. /li liCreate bills of materials for ordering Dematic conveyor technology in our production. /li liGenerate purchase requisitions for purchased components in SAP /li liCreate data lists for hardware controls planning /li liCreate installation drawings /li liHandover of all information to the installation team. /li liCreate a system risk assessment and conduct the safety inspection at the customer's site together with CE Compliance. /li liInstallation support remotely and directly at the customer's site /li liEngineering support for supplier FAT /li /ul pRequirements /p ul liGraduate engineer / Master's or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (a specialization in materials handling or intralogistics would be advantageous) /li li3-5 years of professional experience (we also welcome graduates) /li liExpertise in project engineering (ideally in intralogistics or similar) /li liExpertise in mechanical design (ideally in materials handling or similar) /li liGood written and spoken English skills /li liAbility to work in a team /li liCommunication skills /li liStructured and systematic approach /li liResults-oriented approach /li liProblem-solving skills /li liSelf-management skills /li liAutoCAD knowledge /li liNX + Teamcenter knowledge /li liNavisworks knowledge /li liSAP knowledge /li liWillingness to travel /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
