Position in the Organisation

Organisation Reporting: Hierarchical: Train Control & Information Solution Leader (TC&IS System & Command Leader). Functional: Train Control engineer (TCE).

Missions

• Quality of deliveries, including subcontractor delivery.
• Functional Change Request defect number raised < 75% of a prior project's rate.
• Respect of the delivery planning.
• Application of standard methodologies and processes at 100%.

Responsibilities

• Perform control engineering activities for one or several functions from architecture to detailed specification, interface and Functional Principle Schemes, in collaboration with the System Engineer.
• Implement development practices and rules as defined in the Train Control support plans.
• Formulate a low voltage and software control design solution that fulfills the specified customer requirements.
• Deliver all Train Control Engineering outputs including Functional Specifications with man machine interfaces, Electrical Functional Schemes and Software Specifications, in compliance with Engineering Quality Cost Delay commitments.
• Deliver Interface Control Document (ICD) for subsystems participating in the function.
• Treat Change Requests (CR) related to the function.
• Ensure standardization and maximize carry‑over or reference of the function with previous projects.
• Provide support for supplier interface test or Train Control verification tests on PC or TCMS Test Bench.
• Provide support during train integration, upon request.
• Provide support during train validation, upon request.
• Contribute to the return of experiences in their domain/EDU (Software, Schematic, Apparatus).

Educational

Engineer degree or Master of engineering from University or Engineer school.

Experience

• Rolling stock functional engineer experience in its functions.
• Experience in electrical and schematic design activity.
• Experience in electrical or electro‑mechanical or automation (Programmable Logic Controller) engineering with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
• Validation and Verification Test Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience in design and development in IEC61131-3 software or using model‑based development tools like Matlab, Simulink, Control Build, etc.
