Accounting Intern

Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator , currently in the very dynamic start-up phase.Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over 17 GW of solar PV, onshore wind , offshore wind and storage projects across nine markets in Europe.

We are looking for an Accounting Intern (6 months full-time) tosupport the accounting team in AP activities and month-end closing process forthe legal entities of the Galileo Group across Europe.You’ll be based in Milan (withthe possibility of hybrid remote working), reporting to the Accounting Manager.

What you’ll do:

• Support the management of purchase requests and the creation of purchaseorders.
  
• Assist in matching supplier invoices with purchase orders and/or collectingthe required approvals.
  
• Support the Accounts Payable team in day-to-day administrative andaccounting activities.
  
• Help analyse payment due dates and support the payment run process.
  
• Assist in checking the consistency of data between the Procure-to-Paysystem and the accounting system.
  
• Support the preparation of documents and data needed for the monthlyclosing process.
  
• Interact with external accounting service providers and internalstakeholders to support smooth finance operations.
  
• Maintain accurate records and help ensure properfiling of accounting documentation.
  

Requirements

What you’ll need:

• High school diplomain Accounting and/or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, orrelated subjects, or currently studying in one of these fields.
  
• A previousfirst internship or short experience in finance, accounting, or administration willbe considered a plus.
  
• At leastintermediate knowledge of the English language (especially written).
  
• Goodknowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  
• Goodcommunication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Strongattention to detail and willingness to learn.
  
• Problem-solving attitude and ability to work wellin a team.
