As part of release governance, you will establish best practices, optimize workflow throughout the release lifecycle from code freeze , branching through deployment, sign-off, and post-release follow-up. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Release Planning Execution /h3 ul liCoordinate the end-to-end release process, from intake and scheduling through deployment and post-release validation. /li liMaintain the release calendar and enforce code-freeze windows ahead of each release. /li liSupport branching strategy and versioning in line with agreed development workflows. /li liPrepare and maintain the release run book, detailing step-by-step deployment, validation, and back-out activities. /li liOwn the cutover plan and the rollback plan for each release, ensuring both are reviewed and agreed before go-live. /li liConfirm environment readiness across Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, Hotfix, DR, and Production before deployments proceed. /li liTrack configuration, data, and access dependencies for each environment and elevate gaps early. /li liCoordinate environment bookings and windows to avoid conflicts between concurrent workstreams. /li liRaise, document, and progress change requests through the change management process. /li liRepresent releases at the Change Advisory Board (CAB), presenting scope, risk, and mitigation. /li liSecure formal sign-off from development, testing, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders prior to release. /li liDrive timely follow-ups with teams to close approvals, actions, and dependencies. /li liCommunicate release status, risks, and timelines clearly to stakeholders. /li liPrepare and present release decks to stakeholders at go/no-go and review checkpoints. /li liParticipate in SLA meetings, tracking release-related service commitments and reporting on adherence. /li liPrepare and maintain release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and sign-off records. /li liMaintain inventory management of release artifacts, components, versions, and environment configurations. /li liEnsure an accurate audit trail of approvals, changes, and deployment outcomes. /li /ul h3Qualifications Experience /h3 ul li3-4 years of experience in release management /li liExperience in delivery coordination with DevOps, QA, and team collaboration. /li liExposure to change management frameworks and the CAB process. /li liExposure on Apigee, WAF, Firewall token, Load balancing will be added advantage /li /ul h3Technical Skills Knowledge /h3 pA working, foundational understanding of the following is expected. The candidate should be able to converse credibly with engineering teams and understand how each area affects a release. /p h3SDLC Testing /h3 ul liUnderstanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and common delivery models (Agile). /li liUnderstanding of the functional test stages in SDLC sequence - unit, integration, system, regression, and UAT - and how each gates a release. /li liSecurity testing knowledge - penetration testing, WAF, firewall and token controls that protect a release. /li liPerformance testing knowledge - load and stress testing, load balancing, and scaling containers up and down to validate application performance under expected and peak load. /li /ul h3CI/CD Source Control /h3 ul liFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build, test, and deployment concepts. /li liWorking knowledge of GitHub and GitHub Actions for source control and pipeline. /li liUnderstanding of branching, merging, tagging, and release versioning. /li /ul h3Cloud Infrastructure /h3 ul liBasic understanding of AWS cloud services and how workloads are deployed and hosted. /li liAwareness of the Apigee API gateway and its role in exposing and managing APIs. /li liFoundational understanding of the infrastructure layer, including clusters and deployment targets. /li liAwareness of tokens, credentials, and secrets management, and the importance of secure handling during deployments. /li /ul h3Information Security /h3 ul liUnderstanding of secure release practices, including obtaining security sign-off and confirming vulnerability remediation before go-live. /li liFamiliarity with access controls, least-privilege, and segregation of duties across release environments. /li liAwareness of security scanning in the CI/CD pipeline (SAST, DAST, and dependency/vulnerability scanning) as release quality gates. /li liAwareness of data protection and regulatory compliance relevant to deployments and data handling. /li liBasic knowledge in AI tools is an add-on advantage. /li /ul pAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
