CLOUD & AI PLATFORM ARCHITECT

Dumarey Automotive Italia, part of the Dumarey Group, is an international engineering company operating in advanced mobility solutions across automotive and industrial sectors.

To support our IT activities, we are looking for a Cloud & AI Platform Architect.

JOB TITLE: CLOUD & AI PLATFORM ARCHITECT                                                         

BUSINESS FUNCTION / DEPARTMENT: IT

REPORTING LINE: Reports to Torino IT Manager.

The Architect will work in close collaboration with:

• Network Infrastructure Specialists
• System & Infrastructure Engineers
• Cybersecurity Specialists
• Engineering and Digitalization Teams
• External Cloud Providers and Technology Partners

MAIN TASKS

• Design and maintain hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-premise infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments.
• Develop scalable cloud-based platforms supporting AI/ML workloads, simulations, and automation workflows.
• Coordinate with network teams to ensure secure and reliable hybrid connectivity.
• Support enterprise digitalization initiatives across functional areas.
• Define architecture standards, guidelines, and infrastructure best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and execute proof-of-concepts (PoC).
• Ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and governance.
• Provide technical leadership during architecture and implementation phases.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Contribute to IT strategic planning and long-term technology roadmap.

ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENTS

• Support cross-functional digital transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate cloud-related activities with Group IT departments.
• Support FinOps and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to sustainability through efficient infrastructure design.

COMPETENCES

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferred certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect.
• Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) or VMware VCP certifications are considered a plus.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• 5–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, or system architecture.
• Experience designing hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience migrating on-premise systems to cloud.
• Experience managing enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Industrial or automotive sector experience is considered an advantage.

TECHNICAL AND SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED

• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Ansible).
• Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).

• VPN and hybrid connectivity.
• Load balancing and routing.
• Cloud networking fundamentals.

AI Infrastructure Fundamentals

• AI/ML infrastructure concepts.

• AI pipeline integration.

• IAM and encryption.
• Backup and disaster recovery.
• Security best practices.

• CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure automation.

Comp & Ben range:

RAL 44.000€ / 62000€ (base salary)
