It is divided into integrated functional areas focusing on pipeline projects including discovery and preclinical research, global technical development, drug delivery technology, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, quality assurance, RD project and portfolio management. Headquartered in the new purpose-built and fully integrated Research and Development Centre in Parma (Italy), the team also has important operations in Paris (France), Chippenham (UK), Cary (US), Stockholm (Sweden), Toronto (Canada) and Shanghai (China). /p pbWho we are looking for /b /p h3bThis is what you will do /b /h3 pThe bRD Data Elaboration Head /b is a strategic leadership role responsible for championing and leading the digital transformation of RD through computational modelling, data elaboration and visualization that directly supports RD activities and product development lifecycle. His/Her team will be crucial in transforming complex data into actionable insights, leveraging both our internal architectural capabilities and external partnerships. /p h3bYou will be responsible for /b /h3 ul libLead and grow /b a high-performing team dedicated to data elaboration and visualization, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. /li libTranslate stakeholder needs /b within RD into effective data elaboration and visualization solutions, ensuring alignment with research and development goals. /li libDrive the digital transformation of RD /b by contributing to and implementing the digital roadmap, with a strong focus on data-driven approaches. /li liOversee the entire lifecycle of data models and visualizations for RD, from design and development to deployment and ongoing optimization. /li liContribute to budget planning and priority setting for RD's data elaboration initiatives, ensuring resources are allocated effectively. /li libDevelop and implement advanced analytical models /b that empower RD to make data-driven decisions and foster a truly data-centric organization. /li liSupport the definition and management of the RD data elaboration platform, including leveraging High‑Performance Computing (HPC) solutions to meet demanding analytical needs. /li libEstablish and enforce robust quality standards /b for all data elaboration and modeling activities, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and reproducibility. /li libCollaborate with the Center of Innovation and Competence (COIC) /b to identify and implement initiatives that enhance data elaboration and visualization capabilities across the organization. /li liConsolidate the digital network with internal experts and partners (Global ICT, Legal, RD Procurement, Transformation Office, RD functions). Support RD in any Corporate wide data initiatives aimed at transforming the way Chiesi is generating, collaborating, acquiring, managing, models across the company. /li libForge and manage strategic partnerships /b with external organizations, universities, and consortia to integrate state‑of‑the‑art models and methodologies. /li libEffectively communicate complex findings and insights /b to the broader RD team and leadership through clear, concise reports and presentations. /li libStay at the forefront of innovation /b by continuously monitoring and evaluating the latest advancements in data visualization techniques, analytical methodologies, and pharmaceutical research trends. /li libChampion the dissemination and adoption of emerging technologies /b and novel product/process design methods within RD. /li libEnhance the company's international reputation /b as a leader in process/product development, advanced analytics, and innovative technologies. /li libChiesi digital governance: /b be the RD member of “AI” Vertical Committee and active participant of RD Squad. /li /ul h3bYou will need to have /b /h3 ul liPhD or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. /li liMinimum of 5+ years of leading in data elaboration/computation modelling in pharmaceutical/biotech/medtech industry /li /ul h3bWe would prefer for you to have /b /h3 ul liIn-depth knowledge of the development techniques of the main pharmaceutical platforms and forms /li liGood knowledge of the drug development process /li liGood knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (GMP, FDA, ICH, EMEA, etc. guidelines) /li liGood knowledge on mathematical models and advanced analytics /li liExperience with data visualization tools. /li liGood knowledge of the characterization parameters relevant for the different pharmaceutical forms with particular reference to inhalation ones /li liGood knowledge of basic statistics /li liKnowledge of the main simulation and modeling techniques used in RD process, plant or product design /li liKnowledge of the main techniques of statistical analysis on data sets and related numerical calculation methods /li liKnowledge of data science, with reference to big data management and deep learning/machine learning /li liKnowledge of the main analytical techniques in the characterization of pharmaceutical products in development /li liKnowledge of the main Industry 4.0 technologies /li liKnowledge of basic data management /li liStrong ability to understand the need and to translate it into theoretical equations and code /li liStrong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. /li liTeam-oriented with the ability to work in cross-functional environments. /li liAttention to detail and commitment to scientific rigor and reproducibility. /li liAdaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methods. /li liAbility to work in complex networks /li liAbility to support RD strategy with data science models and visualization /li /ul h3bLocation /b /h3 pLocation is flexible, with remote working opportunities available across Europe /p pbWhat we offer /b /p pYou would join a dynamic, fast-growing, challenging and friendly environment.br/In Chiesi we firmly believe thatb our people are our most valuable asset /b, that is why we invest in continuous training, learning and development.
