In this role, you apply scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering challenges and contribute to the development, design, and maintenance of software solutions. You will advance software engineering practices within the team and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable systems. The position involves exercising original thought, judgment, and supervising other engineers. You’ll build expertise to meet standard engineering expectations and support the team’s growth and delivery. This is a collaborative, research-informed role that shapes how we approach software development.Responsibilities
- Analyse and solve software engineering problems using scientific methods
- Develop, apply and maintain software engineering practices and knowledge
- Supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers
- Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders as a team player
- Build skills to meet standard software engineering expectations in the field
- Apply scientific methods to software problems
- Experience supervising or guiding other software engineers
- Strong collaboration with team and stakeholders
- Commitment to developing domain expertise in software engineering
- Ability to work across research, design, development and maintenance phases
