Country Manager

ppWe are looking for an experienced and pragmatic Country Manager to lead our Italian business and support its next stage of operational and organisational development. This is a senior leadership role with overall responsibility for the performance, operations and development of a company of approximately 40 employees in Milan. The Country Manager will report to the Group Management Board and work closely with the headquarters in Poland. Permanent presence in Milan is required. The role As Country Manager Italy, you will be responsible for translating the Group’s strategy, standards and priorities into effective local execution. Your key mission will be to build a strong and stable bridge between the Italian organisation and the Group, while uniting the local team around business objectives, operational efficiency and shared accountability. This is not an administrative representation role. We are looking for a leader who can combine execution discipline, operational effectiveness and mature people management, while building trust and constructive cooperation between the local organisation and headquarters. /ph3Key responsibilities /h3ulliTake overall responsibility for the performance, operations, organisation and development of the Italian company. /liliLead a team of approximately 40 employees and strengthen the local management team. /liliBuild a culture of accountability, collaboration, timely execution and consistent delivery. /liliTranslate the Group’s strategic direction, priorities and standards into concrete local actions. /liliEstablish effective communication and cooperation between the Italian organisation and the headquarters in Poland. /liliAnalyse the effectiveness of debt collection operations and identify opportunities for improvement. /liliImplement KPIs, management routines, reporting standards and execution control mechanisms. /liliImprove processes, productivity, quality of work and cost efficiency. /liliSupport business growth and create the conditions for increased profitability and investment capacity. /liliReport results, risks, corrective actions and development initiatives to the Group. /liliRepresent the company in dealings with key local stakeholders when required. /li /ulh3What we are looking for /h3ulliExperience as a Country Manager, General Manager, Managing Director, Operations Director, Business Unit Director or in a comparable senior leadership role. /liliProven success in managing an organisation or a significant operational unit comprising at least several dozen employees. /liliExperience in an international or matrix environment, preferably with a strong reporting line to international headquarters or a corporate group. /liliA track record in leading organisational change, improving efficiency, structuring processes or professionalising management. /liliStrong understanding of PL, cost efficiency, operational profitability and business performance. /liliA leadership style that combines authority, accountability, resilience and mature communication. /liliStrong focus on KPIs, processes, productivity, quality and measurable business outcomes. /liliAbility to make difficult decisions, operate independently and deliver results in a demanding environment. /liliIndustry background: Direct experience in the debt collection industry will be an advantage, but it is not essential. /liliWe are also interested in candidates with relevant experience in sectors such as: financial services banking consumer finance debt management BPO or outsourcing operational services leasing insurance asset management. /liliThe successful candidate should be able to quickly understand the operational, regulatory and economic characteristics of the debt collection business. /li /ulh3Location and languages /h3ulliOffice location in Missori, Milan, Italy /liliPermanent presence in the local organisation. /liliFluency in Italian. /liliConfident communication in English, enabling effective cooperation with the Group. /li /ulh3What success will look like /h3pestablish a clear management and reporting cadence, align the Group’s expectations with a practical local action plan, unite the team around shared business objectives, identify the most important levers for improving operational efficiency, strengthen the local management team and accountability for results, lay the foundations for further business development and increased investment capacity. /ph3The person we are looking for /h3pWe are looking for a mature, strong and pragmatic business leader who combines a results-oriented mindset with operational understanding and high social intelligence.
