Since 2015, our 400 portfolio companies have raised $1.03bn follow-on funding from leading investors in four continents. /p h3The Opportunity /h3 pFounders Factory is hiring for an Italian speaking Investor who can help source, invest in and support banking tech insure tech investments, across Milan, Italy and London, UK. /p pThe role will require building relationships in the local community with founders, angels, VCs, universities. Good candidates should have outstanding people skills, hustle, resilience, deep empathy with founders and a high curiosity for technology and tech startups. You will also work with founders through the accelerator programme and beyond to help with defining their fundraising strategy, formulating their story, assisting with the creation/review of investment materials and supporting them to raise their next round of funding. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liOwn the process for finding, diligencing and investing in startups, with a heavy focus towards fintech B2B SaaS in Italy and the UK /li liAssess and qualify early-stage ventures, technology and founding teams, conducting diligence and negotiating investment terms with the support of our team /li liDevelop ecosystem relationships with investors, founders, universities and corporates /li liMobilise startup sourcing networks for international and local FF programs /li liActivating and growing our local network in London /li liSupport our portfolio with their fundraising needs including fundraising narrative, investment materials and investor connections. /li /ul h3What you’ll need /h3 ul liUnderstanding of what to assess when looking at an early stage investment opportunity and the ability to communicate your views clearly to the team and our stakeholders /li liDemonstrate relentless energy and passion for finding opportunities, building relationships and evaluating investments /li liVerbal and written fluency in Italian is a must /li liPersonal networks that embrace the startup communities in Fintech and across Italy UK based and international VCs /li liAbility to learn and synthesise new information about new sectors and build up your own investment thesis. /li liConfident juggling multiple tasks and autonomously owning your own end-end investment process through from sourcing deals to executing and closing them. /li liAbility to communicate authoritatively and passionately and share details of the Founders Factory vision, differentiation and operations /li liPrevious VC investing expertise and network is a plus /li /ul h3Characteristics we look for /h3 ul liHave a passion for fintech/ tech, its problems and opportunities within the sector /li liHave an ability to connect, emphasise and collaborate with top tier founder talent /li liDeal comfortably with the uncertainty of change and complex problems, effectively handles risk and can make a decision with incomplete information /li liOperate effectively, is calm under pressure and productive when plate spinning or when the future is unclear /li liHave a strong bias for action and persists in accomplishing objectives despite setbacks /li liAbility to work across geographies, time zones and multi-functional teams /li /ul h3Why work with us /h3 ul liThink big, act small, move fast /li liValue momentum over perfection /li liEmbrace uncertainty and remain decisive /li liSuggest solutions, not problems. /li liPrioritise diversity to strengthen our collective intelligence /li liBe polite, generous and show empathy to others, always /li /ul h3Please Note /h3 ul liSalary between £60k – £70kpro rata (based on experience) /li liItalian speaking is a must /li /ul pFounders Factory is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer.
