ppYou’re invited to join Sompo’s CUO Office in Continental Europe as a Lead, Portfolio and Performance Analytics, where you’ll build central analytics support for our commercial insurance operations. /p pbLocation /b: Based primarily in Zurich, with potential to work in Paris, Milan, Cologne or Munich. /p h3What You’ll Be Doing /h3 ul liPortfolio performance analysis: evaluate underwriting performance, identify trends, and analyze profitability, risk quality, and portfolio composition to drive growth and improvement. Prepare quarterly and ad-hoc performance reviews for leadership. /li liUnderwriting portfolio steering: refine risk appetite, recommend strategies for growth or remediation, support underwriting plans, and monitor execution against targets. /li liRisk aggregation management: analyze risk accumulation across perils and geographies, monitor exposure limits, and integrate data into reinsurance and capital modeling. /li liCatastrophe scenario analysis: conduct catastrophe loss scenarios, assess tail risks, and support stress testing, capital planning, and reinsurance structuring. /li liPricing profitability support: collaborate with pricing teams to analyze rate adequacy, validate assumptions, and recommend underwriting and renewal actions. /li liPredictive analytics: develop predictive models and leverage advanced analytics to support underwriting automation and decision-making tools. /li liReporting dashboards: create executive dashboards, automate underwriting metric reporting, and provide data-driven insights for decision-makers. /li liReinsurance strategy support: provide exposure and performance data to inform treaty and facultative decisions and improve retention strategies. /li liRegulatory capital requirements: support regulatory filings, collaborate on risk assessments, and align portfolio decisions with capital efficiency. /li liInnovation technology: pilot AI models, integrate new data sources, and drive digitization of portfolio management processes. /li /ul h3What You’ll Bring /h3 ul liAdvanced degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field. /li li5 to 10 years of experience in commercial insurance, focusing on large corporate industry portfolios. /li liStrong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk aggregation, catastrophe modeling, and reinsurance structures. /li liGeneral understanding of insurance product coverages, resulting exposures and their triggering portfolio impacts. /li liProficiency in data analytics tools and predictive modeling (Python or R). /li liExpertise in regulatory compliance (e.g., Solvency II, NAIC), capital modeling, and risk management. /li liProven leadership and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and executive management. /li liInnovative, investigative mindset with experience leveraging technology, advanced analytics, and digitization for portfolio optimization. /li liNatural curiosity with a drive to uncover insights and understand underlying patterns. /li /ul h3Our Benefits /h3 ul liExpansive Health Wellness Benefits /li liGenerous Retirement Savings Plans /li liGlobal Parental Leave Adoption Assistance /li /ul pbEqual Opportunity Employer /b.
