We place them at the heart of what we do, providing challenging opportunities to develop within a great team in a supportive environment that allows them to reach their full potential. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liBuild and maintain strong working relationships with the client team and their representatives. /li liLead the Mercury delivery team ensuring the company values and culture are at the forefront. /li liMaintain awareness of project risks and opportunities and ensure mitigations are in place where required. /li liEnsure that projects under their control are delivered safely on time and within budget. /li liPrepare weekly and monthly progress reporting on project status that tracks percentage complete, schedule performance, baseline variance and costs. /li liDeliver all projects in line with both Mercury Engineering and the client’s health and safety requirements. /li liEnsure that subcontractors used have been vetted by the Mercury procurement department and are approved before use. /li liEnsure that all work performed is delivered in accordance with the permitting requirements of Mercury’s electrical safety rules. /li liGuide and assist your project team, aligning your expectations with project requirements. /li liCarry out routine inspections of the projects being executed to confirm they are being performed in line with the scope of work and schedule agreed. /li liEnsure that a schedule and milestones are in place for all works and that subcontractor invoicing is measured in accordance with the schedule. /li liMonitor that the subcontractors have sufficiently resourced the project being delivered to maintain the delivery schedule. /li liEnsure that all works have an established execution plan, and a safe plan of work, and that the subcontractors are performing their work in accordance with the plan. /li liManage the contract budget and report at internal and client‑facing meetings on monthly status. /li liBe the point of contact during significant events or multi‑discipline technical escalations. /li liEnsure contractually agreed SLA’s and KPI’s within the Scope of Works are met and necessary record retention demonstrates adherence. /li /ul h3Essential Criteria /h3 ul liMinimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position. /li liProfessional project management qualifications or a trade qualification. /li liDetailed understanding and experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data centre environment, including Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS Systems, Battery Banks, ATS/STS Units, PDU Units, Air Handling Units, Chilled Water Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, and Fire Suppression Systems (pre‑action sprinklers). /li liUnderstanding all the associated safety code related requirements relative to providing the service. /li liExperience in Health Safety Risk Assessments and Control Measures. /li liExperience in vendor management, ability to manage and monitor progress to ensure objectives are achieved for outsourced support and projects. /li liExperience in Project Management principles delivering DC project upgrade works. /li liExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with the client, employees and subcontractors. /li liExcellent motivational and influencing skills, with high levels of personal integrity. /li liAbility to communicate technical and business problems in a non‑technical manner. /li liAbility to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment. /li liTravel and working abroad will be required for this role. /li /ul bMercury is an equal opportunity employer. /b /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
