Economic Research - VP

In this role you contribute to ING’s Global Research and Milan-based team by producing macro forecasts and scenario analyses for the bank and its Italian clients. You’ll craft concise notes and in-depth reports, and present views to colleagues and clients, including media. You work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate complex economics into actionable insights, shaping bank strategy and client guidance. • Produce forecasts and scenario analyses for key macro-economic and financial variables
• Write short notes and in-depth reports on macro topics
• Present key views and forecasts to colleagues and clients
• Interviews with the press

• Deliver results within tight deadlines and demanding timelines
• Contribute creative and proactive problem-solving to support business objectives

• At least 2 years of experience in economic research
• University degree in economics (Laurea Magistrale, Master, PhD)
• Perfect Italian (speaking and writing) and fluent English
• Strong computer skills with MS Office, data analysis, charts, and PowerPoint
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong analytical skills
