The candidate will be responsible for welding and inspecting components for various types of Baker Hughes products, following applicable technical specifications, product drawings, and manufacturing processes. All activities must be performed in compliance with the safety and quality standards defined by the company for the areas of expertise.

This position offers an initial, fixed-term contract of one year.

As a welder, you will be responsible for:

 

• During welding activities, the operator must complete checklists relating to welding activities, material identification and preliminary inspection of the condition of the parts in accordance with the applicable specifications.
• During the activities the operator will be responsible for the workplace and for compliance with the production line management rules (e.g. housekeeping);
• The operator will be asked to suggest actions to improve the activities he/she carries out in accordance with the spirit of the company's continuous improvement program;
• He/she will participate in weekly discussions on safety and quality topics within the team he/she belongs to (Safety & Quality Talk).

Fuel Your Passion

To be successful in this role you will need to:

 

 

• Have a high school diploma (preferably Mechanical Expert)
• Have referenced welding experience (GTAW process mandatory),
• Have referenced experience in welding nickel-based superalloys.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Baker Hughes products
• Be available to work shifts (including weekends, if necessary)
• Demonstrate ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications
• Have computer skills (using Excel, Word, email, etc.)
• Demonstrate teamwork and flexibility
• Have an EU work permit
• Be available to travel
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail.

For Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 35,106.44 to 47,300.

The provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Metalworking and Plant Installation Industry will be applied to this position. Section VI - Title IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
